Hi all I was told yesterday that baby is head down. Is this normal at 27 weeks? I'm panicking thinking he will come early!

Mines been head down since 28 weeks ... still there at 37+5! They can still change position between then and labour so don’t worry doesn’t mean early baby

Agreed it doesn't mean anything - mind were head down - from when anyone could tell but both were late.

Thank you. It's my first so I seem to be worrying over everything!

Head down isn't the same as engaged so there is no suggestion that the baby will come early. My baby has been head down since my 28 week scan (and most likely before that) but I am still here at almost 39 weeks!

My baby has been head down on every scan from 12 weeks and I'm 36 weeks now and she hasent come early some baby's just prefer it like that I wouldn't worry op

Perfectly normal. Many babies are head down from very early on, it's just that position isn't checked until post 28 weeks because there's no bloody point.

Chances of baby coming early are very small.

Babies tend to turn head down some time between 24 and 32 weeks (if they haven’t already) as their head becomes sufficiently heavy for gravity to turn them into position. It’s perfectly normal!
