Hi, I’m currently around 8-9 weeks in my first pregnancy. Every morning at 4:00am I wake up and the last week it has been accompanied by pain in the left hand side of my stomach which goes around to my back. My back hurts at different times of the day and I am told this is normal but I’m worried about the stomach pain. I will ring my doctor but asbits 5:00am and just wanted to put my mind at rest. Did anyone else suffer the same symptoms?

Thanks I’m advance

Give your doctor a ring first thing you should really be seen in early pregnancy clinic and have a scan confirming baby is in the right place. Hope it goes ok x

OP I have the same thing, also on the same side - (I'm 10weeks), I have that sort of pain since 6 weeks and they sent me for an early scan - scan was fine but they did notice I was slightly constipated and gassy, but said the pain was totally normal and due to hormones 'loosing' everything up and moving about - at 9-10 weeks everything is also moving into place and that can cause the pain your describing.

If your concerned about anything OP always give your GP a quick call - its far better than worrying and always better to get checked out x

Definitely ring gp and ensure you get an early scan to rule out ectopic. I remember I had period cramping so was surprised when I got my bfp but I can't remember it being that late on. I also remember having stretching pain which sounds similar to what you describe but I can't remember when that started
