Hi,

I'm 5+ 3 and I'm driving myself mad worrying about anything and everything. I have no real symptoms apart from sore nipples, cramps and tiredness. Today I had a little red blood in the toilet after a wee and now light brown discharge. Has anyone else had this? I've booked at the doctors tomorrow but I know as still quite early I don't think there is anything they could do to put my mind as rest such as a early scan ect? Does anybody know? X

I had this on and off for the first 12 weeks had 2 early scans turns out I had a Uti at one point which could have been the cause for some of it. I'm now 18 weeks and still worrying everyday lol. Good luck tomorrow Smile

Really, I'm hoping I can get put in for an early scan.. did you have to push the doctor for one? How painful are the weeks before the 12 week scan. The time just seems to drag so much!! X

Hi there! Just to say I had quite significant bleeding at week 5, lasting about 2/3 days and was absolutely inconsolable fearing the worst. I'm now 40 + 3 weeks 🙂

Please don't panic, from what I understand this is prime time for bleeding in pregnancy. Sending lots of love and best wishes 💗

Hi op,
I’m six weeks and having the same thing Sad
Ive miscarried once and it started light bleeding and got heavier and heavier.
Since this is very dark and very little I’m hoping if it stays this way things will be ok. Flowers for you. Its a worrying time.

starlightmagic · 19/06/2018 20:55

I’ve had the same since Sunday, had early scan today and saw heartbeat and a baby well stuck in place 😊 mines only been visible when I wipe x

Lmj25 · 19/06/2018 20:55

@lllnelson I don't know what it's like in your area but where I am I had to get referred to the early pregnancy unit by my GP first and then they saw me. I'd been there about 4/5 times by the time I got to 12 week. Honestly it was a drag everyday felt like a lifetime but also one step closer Smile 🤞🏻

YouBoggleMyMind · 19/06/2018 20:59

Yes, I thought it was AF turning up! It stayed brown. Then stopped. Then starts again at 7 weeks and at 9 weeks. As long as it remains brown, it is unlikely to be anything of concern but if you're worried, see your GP etc. Good luck!

YouBoggleMyMind · 19/06/2018 21:00

PS my baby is now 6 months old!

lllnelson · 19/06/2018 21:02

Thank you everyone it's so reassuring to read that this has happened to others and your now further on or with your babies. Just been to the toilet and there's more light red blood in discharge it's so scary to see but trying to just remain calm and I'm just going to ask to be referred for an early scan to put my mind at risk! X

Brown blood doesn't necessarily mean it's ok and no concern. Brown blood known as old blood or fresh blood is always a cause for concern and should be looked into. I had a MMC 2 years ago and the only symptom I got of that was brown discharge/light brown blood on my pantyliner once. People need to stop thinking and saying brown blood isn't a concern.

RedWineAllMine · 19/06/2018 22:59

Of course I'm not saying the same will happen to you, but you will be able to go the EPU because your having some kind of bleeding. If it's too early for scan they can take your blood to check if the the HGC hormone is rising etc. Wish you all the best and hope everything is ok

venus417 · 20/06/2018 10:35

@redwineallmine I totally agree. I had a MC and all i had was 2 weeks of brown discharge with everyone telling me it was fine. Well it wasnt so any blood needs checking out! Hopefully it is all fine but every person should get their symptoms checked. Equally I then had a huge fresh red bleed 6 weeks later (the 1 i mc was a twin) and whilst everyone was certain it was the other twin being lost, it wasnt it was a haematoma caused by the lost twin. Im in hospital now because of it but baby is fine its me that isnt. So in my case brown blood was mc and fresh blood was fine!

RedWineAllMine · 20/06/2018 10:48

Oh my Venus sorry to hear your sad news. Im glad to hear you have a keeper. I got sick of hospitals in the end, after 1MMC and 4 chemicals. So I only know too well about the worries of bleeding. I'm currently 11+4 hoping this one is a keeper! Had no bleeding etc so fingers crossed. Have my 12 week scan next week so all will be revealed then I guess.
Wishing you well and hope things go ok in Hospital 😩
Whoever said this pregnancy malarkey was easy?

lllnelson · 20/06/2018 11:04

Just an update... I have just been to the doctors and she did a quick internal with her hands to see if there was anything concerning and she couldn't she anything.
She is calling the EPU to try and get me an appointment on Friday. Has anybody had one this early? I'll be just 6 weeks that day x

Hi OP. I had similar bleeding at 5+4, just for a few hours. I went for a scan at 6+3 and saw heartbeat. Try not to worry too much. Definitely try to get an early scan.

lllnelson · 20/06/2018 11:13

Thank you @1Wanda1. When she examined there was no blood and there isn't now it's just normal coloured so hopefully all ok and hopefully I see a heartbeat otherwise it'll cause more worry, even though I know this could happen and just mean it's too early lol. I'm driving myself mad!!!
