Hi all,
Had a sweep today at 39+4 (first baby) at about 16.00. Baby 3/5 engaged and cervix 1cm long. Sweep was agony! But mw could feel head and that waters were bulging.
I had some blood (still there but looks brown rather than fresh) and have had fairly constant backache and some period like cramps with uterus hardening since... not really separate enough to time... does this sound normal/promising? Know there's no guarantee that it'll work.
Anyone care to share stories about how soon labour started (or if it didn't was your experience like mine with the cramping after?)
