When does baby change to head down position?

As title says really! My son changed positions in labour and was breech so I had to have emergency ceserean. I saw midwife yesterday for my 2nd and she said this one is currently breech! I am 28 weeks and can't remember when babies change position and totally forgot to ask midwife. I really don't want ceserean as my son is starting school and due date is right around that time! (Consultant aware) anyone able to advise?

Normally by 36 weeks. So you have a bit of time. But a previous breech and CS is an indication that it might happen again. Best to be prepared and make back up plans.

My little bubba was transverse at 28 weeks, 31 weeks was breech and then 33 weeks was head down (and still is at 36 weeks). I'm hoping he stays that way now although I am keen for them to keep checking me as I'd rather know sooner than later if he goes breech again. Good luck!

Like endof said it is usually by 36 weeks although babies can differ.

My DD was transverse till 37 weeks but did eventually turn.

At 28 weeks you still have plenty of time.
