Hi Ladies,

Just wondering if anyone is the same as me..nearly 28 weeks and baby has no pattern what so ever for me to keep an eye on! She’s either moving fine or just not at all. So I either feel her a fair bit throughout the day or literally nothing.

I’ve been placed on daily CTGs until Friday but I think that’s been for my peace of mind more than anything..I’ve just no idea how I’m going to stop worrying about the days I just don’t feel her. Wondered if anyone else has any experiance with it.

I can’t ask them to be doing daily CTGs on me for another 11 weeks! X

Hi, my little one was the same. Some days he would be really active then others I hardly felt him. It's so hard not to worry! I am now cuddling my 7 week old 💙

I hope the next 11 weeks goes quickly for you xx

Nearly 29 weeks no pattern.

But, I have an anterior placenta and this bub LOVES changing position. He's harder to feel when he's head down... Easier in other positions.

Still, best to stay in touch with midwives. Better to be monitored, if only for your own piece of mind.

I am 35 weeks and i still don't recognise a pattern to babys movements. I always drink very cold drinks anyways so think baby is used to them. I know she will move after drinking milk though. I often panick about movements but not had to ring up pau yet about it. Xx

I am 35 weeks and exactly the same. Sometimes she is non stop and other times I panic thinking I haven't felt her. I am also wondering if I have been so busy at work and am now so used to her moving that I am not picking up on her as much as I previously had. I also have a high anterior placenta which makes it harder to feel her sometimes.

It is such a stressful time when you are sat there trying to think when you last felt a movement but usually after a poke to two or some tapping she will knock/move back so I know everything is okay Smile

You can never worry too much when it comes to your baby though so go to the hospital was much as you need. It's what they are there for after all Thanks

@CJ1990 I am the same (and from what I can remember from other threads we are only a day apart). Baby can be super active some days, nice consistent activity other days and then some days when there is hardly any and the movements I do feel are very faint.

I had a MW appointment earlier in the week and asked how I go about monitoring if there doesn’t seem to be a pattern and to be honest I didn’t get much of an answer, just told to follow the guidelines.

I have booked private scans and been up to the assessment unit a couple times and everything is always fine with baby so I am starting to come round to the idea that baby is just a bit lazy at times, but then I am also worried that I will miss a problem because of this.

The next 11 weeks can’t pass by quick enough

My DS was the same! Some days he never stopped and others I'd be panicking because he was barely moving or wouldn't move at all for hours!

I went in a couple of times to be checked because of his quiet periods haha!

Not all babies have a patter but if you ever feel like baby hasn't moved for quite a while and you're concerned, go in and get checked just to be safe x

Hi @snowy1982 I had exactly the same. I asked midwife when I should ring in and didn’t really get much of an answer. I guess they can’t as every baby is different, but it makes it very tricky doesn’t it! Trying to strike a balance of just admitting that baby has some very quiet days and not being in triage every other day, but not risking anything!
Definately can’t come quick enough!
