I've had them on and off for a couple weeks but today they have been rather intense especially right now and pressure in my lower back is this normal? As I don't feel like I'm having tightenings so I wouldn't put it down to braxton hicks either ...they arnt what I would class as painful but rather uncomfortable and most definitely noticeable? 🤔 So is this normal? I would call the hospital but I was up Friday for reduced movements then again Sunday for same thing and have a scan for it tomorrow at 1 the up to the maternity unit so don't want to pester them anymore baby is moving okay today also

It's your body preparing for labour with all the extra weight. Your cervix will be thinning and everything is just gearing up for getting going. I remember some serious cramps in the last few weeks that weren't contractions. If they can be timed with any pattern then call in but otherwise I wouldn't worry too much.

I’m 37 weeks. Been having similar. Was in hospital on Friday with painful, reculuse Braxton Hicks. They thought I might be going into labour and kept me in overnight. Died didn’t but still getting irregular Braxton Hicks but now I’ve lower back pain too. Like very mild period pain crossed with sunburn. Not coming in surges or contractions but just constant. Feel a bit off. Maternity unit said there’s just no way of telling if this us early labour or just end of pregnancy misery. Just have to wait and see.

If you are worried just call the midwives. They are really good.
