Just wondering what the nub theory is I really don’t get it!
Here’s my 12 week scan
What am I looking for ?

Whats the nub theory?
OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

If the nub is angled greater than a 30 degree angle in relation to the spine, it is likely a male fetus. If it is pointing straight out, under 30 degrees, or down, it is likely a female fetus! So judging by your scan, according to the "nub theory" you are having a girl. But not sure how accurate it is, think it could be a bit of an old wives tale! I waited until my 20 weeks scan and found out gender, that would be my advice! I know its frustrating if you're desperate to know, but it's worth the wait, trust me!

So sorry, just realised I got this the wrong way round (baby brain!) That scan shows a boy supposedly according to the nub theory! As the nub is greater than 30 degrees!

I too had my three month scan today (due Christmas Eve!) And I too do not understand the nub theory. What is a 'nub'!?
I know I could Google but......

This is mine. I don't mind either way but I am intrigued!

Not meaning to derail the thread but @smorgasborgen - do you realise your name can be seen at the top of your scan pic? Just in case you want to keep your identity anonymous.

Congrats all by the way!

Yep! As soon as I clicked post I realised. That's a typical me thing to do at the moment!
