Hello..

To cut a very long story short, I’m 28+3 with second baby.. and have recently found out my partner has been having an affair with a so called “friend”.

This so called “friend” also has a lot of fun.. if you understand where I’m coming from & therefore I would really liked to get checked out!! However I’m not sure if you can get tested while pregnant? I’ve had a look on google and I don’t really get an answer.. I just get my local clinics come up.

Would my pregnancy hormones interfere with the results? Over the last few weeks I’ve had a lot of watery discharge sorry if TMI! almost like the feeling when you come on your period..

I have my 28 week midwife appointment tomorrow but feel so embarrassed to tell her about it.

Any help/advice is really appreciated :(

So sorry to hear this, what an absolute arse to do that to you especially when you are carrying his baby!! Yes of course you'll be able to get checked out for sti's, you may find talking to your midwife will help, is she a nice midwife ? She may be able to offer you more support!! Xx

Yes you can go to sexual health you don't even have to give a real name it's totally confidential and midwife and gp won't be informed. You can do a Swab that will test for infections or a urine test ( Swab is better for ladies) if there is anything there you will get antibiotics that are safe for pregnant ladies but will have to repeat test in a few weeks to confirm it's gone, just to keep baby safe in delivery, dead easy promise and sorry what a twat, concentrate on that babe x

And your hormones won't interfere with test or results either if it's any consolation I work in sexual health and we treat lots of ladies in your situation x
