Chances of conception if we dtd 1, 2, and 3 days before positive OPK?

Hi everyone. My first pregnancy sadly ended in a missed miscarriage back in April. We decided to wait until my first period (which I got on May 9th) to start TTC. Unfortunately my fiancé went away on a training course for work and was away for four days during my fertile window last month, so we were only able to dtd once when I was fertile, and I didn't get pregnant.

This month we were able to dtd a lot more but I'm not sure I got the timing right! I took an OPK around 7pm last night and it was positive. Unfortunately though fiancé is ill with food poisoning so we weren't able to dtd last night!
We did manage to dtd on the nights of the 13th, 14th, and 15th though. So, around 24, 48, and 72 hours before my positive OPK. I took an OPK on the night of the 15th and it was very very nearly positive but not quite.

Sure enough I've been getting a lot of discharge and pinching pains in my side today so I assume I'm ovulating today.

Does dtd around these times give us a good chance of conceiving? I know we've only been trying for a very short amount of time but I'd like to think we'd be successful soon. With my last pregnancy we only dtd once during my fertile window, though that was the pregnancy we lost Sad

Thanks! Grin

I think sperm lives for quite a while inside you.. so I’d say you’ve got a fair chance of conceiving.
From how I understand it.. you’re better off doing it before ovulation than after..

Good luck!
