Due date today. I know it's ridiculous to think it would happen today, but my DD was a week early and everyone kept telling me how my second would be early

Now not only is it not early it's not even on time! Ahhhh!

Oh yes the constant questions and comments are really annoying!

I'm 4 days overdue, so I feel your pain! It's the constant messages asking whether the baby is here yet...like you'd have a baby and then not tell anyone...🙄

I know, why do people do that?! I'm not going to forget to tell you so just calm down!

Could you tell DPs Gran that you been at it like rabbits to try and get it out but it's not working.......or would that not shock her into silence?

A random woman said to me "you still not had that baby yet....I keep thinking you must have had it by now". No fucking idea who she was but she must see me about.

I still had 7 weeks to go at that point 😫

Bath- I've got into the habit of saying yes I have and giving them a really blank look when people ask if I've not had it yet

My due date is Tuesday and I feel the same as you all already! I am also convinced I'm going to be really late and end up being induced though. Already fed up of people texting asking if the baby is here yet too. I also think what if something awful had happened? What would people say in response then? It's really insensitive and silly. As you said I'm going to start telling people it came the night before and that we forgot to tell anyone next time anyone asks, really fed up with it and I'm not even 'overdue' yet but already had this for at least the last fortnight!

Getting increasingly uncomfortable now with my back/neck/shoulders especially at night and getting up to pee around 4 times a night and struggling to sleep, so very fed up.

I'm 40+6 with nothing happening whatsoever, if one more person says 'she'll come when she's ready' I'm likely to pounce on them like a rabid dog. Actually no, she won't, she'll come when she's medically evicted in a couple of days time whether shes ready or not.

40+6 wow. I've got the midwife in Thursday at 40+ 4 so I'm hoping a plan can be made then!!

I'm actually starting to worry I'm doing something wrong. Keep having sporadic contractions but they never amount to anything.

Am I forgetting to do something to actually make labour start?!

I am now 41+3 and feel your pain. I had a caesarean last time at 39 weeks so I hate being so overdue. Have had two sweeps but they have done nothing, so I am going to be induced Friday incase by some miracle it's happens naturally over the next couple of days!

You're not doing anything wrong @Choice4567 it's so incredibly frustrating just playing the waiting game but you are definitely not doing anything wrong. Be kind to yourself and try and relax and do something nice for yourself to get the oxytocin flowing, maybe watch a really feel good film or have a nice long soak in the bath? I know it doesn't feel like it right now but baby is going to come soon and this will all be over

Thanks bluebird. Feel a bit better after some sleep last night, so I'll have a relaxing day and think good thoughts.

Midwife tomorrow if baby hasn't come so I'll assume we'll start talking about sweeps and induction

Can I join please! First baby. Due date was also 17th, so 40 + 3 now. Midwife tried a sweep this morning but couldn’t do it, cervix has started to shorten but not open. So many messages from everyone and not a peep out of this baby!

Hi flyingfruit! We're exactly the same then date wise!

Had the show this morning and been and had obs this afternoon and all fine.

Hopefully I'm progressing now but can't say it feels like much is happening

Hi flying fruit! Sorry we had a bit of a funny start so only just checked this

DD2 had an infection so we had to stay in hospital for antibiotics. All good now, came home today 😊
