A bit confused

Hi. I have a question which might be a bit silly. I’m 11 days late for my period according to an app I use for ovulation so I took a test today. The first one I did by placing it in a clean dry container for 10 seconds as stated and it came up 2 strong lines. Then I read about false positives which made me think so I did another one by directly weeing on it which came up 2 lines but the first line slightly fainter. I’m desperate for a positive but a bit confused now. If I could put the pictures up on here I would. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Did you do the second test straight away?

If they're both positive and you read them in the time it told you on the packet then sounds like a positive. congratulations!

Did you drink some more and then do the second test, or just wait until you needed to go again?

The second test may have been diluted so less hormones but still positive.

My first positive pregnancy test was a v v faint line. I'm pretty sure that two lines on two tests is great news! Congrats!!!

I didn’t do the second test straight away. Was probably a few hours later because what I’d read on the dreaded internet made me question it. I drink a fair amount of water a day anyway so just waited for the next time I needed to go. But not to go into detail but I wasn’t that good at doing it the old fashioned way lol. I had a miscarriage last year so kind of feel I don’t want to get my hopes up. Especially when it’s something you really want. Thanks for the replies guys.

Pics please if you can but it sounds very promising. If the darker test was the first wee of the day and the lighter one a few hours later... it was probably just more diluted.

False positives are very rare. I’m a fan of the pot method and would say that if you got two strong lines with first urine and two lines with later day wee, you’re pregnant! :)

False positives are quite rare, it's much more common to get false negatives. I think if you are getting two lines then you are pregnant, lots of things can affect how strong or faint the lines are, including your urine being more diluted if you usually drink a lot, so I wouldn't really get too hung up on that.

False positives are pretty much unheard of and if you've had two positives then you're pregnant. Congratulations!

Your pregnant. You got 2 positive tests! Your wee was probably more diluted by the second test. If you want to try again in the morning then do but I'll bet money on another positive! Congratulations!

Thanks guys. I don’t know how to put pics up on here. I’m not that good with hose things lol. I think to put my mind at ease I’ll buy a digital one just to be sure! Lol.
