At the moment, DP and I are trying to conceive, and I’m trying to organise myself as best as I can to ensure my body is strong and healthy for when I am lucky enough to conceive.
I’ve always struggled with body image since being a young girl. I was overweight, lost weight, and I’ve yo-yoed with the same two stone now for a couple of years. Overall though, I am healthy, a size 12, eat a generally good diet and exercise a couple of times a week. DP is a personal trainer so I’m not too concerned about the exercise side of things during pregnancy, but I am worried about the best foods to eat to give baby the best start.
What do you recommend as a daily diet, to ensure you’re not consuming too much, but so baby gets the best?
Also, any top tips on products to help with stretch marks etc.? I’ve ordered a bottle of bio oil which hopefully will help.
I hope this doesn’t come across as terribly vain. Although it’s partly fuelled by my worry of gaining a lot of weight, I’m also really worried about not giving baby the best nutrients etc it needs.
