TMI!!! Bouts of diarrhoea 36+ 3

This morning I've woke up with cramps the rush to toilet sort of tummy pains after eating something bad!! ( Which I haven't )

I've felt slightly nauseous too but not actually been sick. Now I'm sorry this is vile
But I've had 4 bouts of diarrhoea in the last 6 hours! And tightening burning feeling in my stomach.

Baby is still active and moving about fine 💖 And I haven't had a bowl movement for a couple of days so wondering if this is why! But then I'm also hearing about diarrhoea days before labour etc and I'm starting to feel anxious. I have just got on bed laid down and I'm trying to drink plenty of water like I usually do but before I contact the hospital I wanted to ask if any ladies have experienced this and started labour or if it is normal at this stage.

My bump also doesn't look as big either.

Thanks

Sarah

I had this at 36-37 weeks and didn't go into labour but it wasn't very nice!
I am 38 weeks now and it seems to have settled down a bit (although stools still very soft).

I would ring your midwife and get checked.

I had this last week at 35 weeks through to 36 weeks. I spoke to my midwife who said could be just a stomach bug and I’m back to normal now at 36+2. I would say make sure to stay hydrated and to just keep an eye on things 🙂

It could be your hormones changing on the final weeks. I had this on and off with my first baby for about the last 4 weeks. I also had other funny pains and symptoms, he stayed put to term but I had been dilating.
As others have said, keep rested and hydrated and keep an eye on things. It could be a bug but it's common to feel like his just before labour.

I did have this as I was going into labour, but I was having contractions too. Hopefully yours is just a bug. I wouldn't assume anything else unless you start having other signs of labour x

Hiya

I spoke to labour suite and they said exactly that / a bug, said to monitor the tightness I'm having but I've not been too bad since earlier. Scary tho lol thank you girls x
