I’m 27+2, and over the last few days I’ve had some movements, but much reduced from what they were last week, both in frequency and intensity. It’s almost like he’s changed position and is now kicking in rather than out, so I don’t feel them as often and the kicks aren’t as hard as they were.
Obviously, what I’ve described does match the description of reduced movements in that his pattern has changed, but I have been feeling him move, and if I go into triage at this stage they’ll just check his heartbeat with the doppler and send me on my way.
I’ve already been in once for reduced movements a few weeks ago, and really don’t want to trouble the midwives again, especially as I understand that frequent trips to triage for reduced movements might lead to having to see the consultant or to early induction.
So, WIBU to just book a private growth scan for tomorrow, to check all is well? I figure that way, I get reassurance about something that is in all likelihood nothing, and I don’t waste NHS resources and look like a madwoman in triage.
Any views?
