I'm 19 weeks and 3 days with an anterior placenta down my left side and mostly the middle. From about 17 weeks I've felt baby kicking and seen her moving and kicking my right side. Last week she would kick like mad and was so active but I haven't felt her much this week at all last night I felt her a couple times and this morning I felt her 3 times but that took over an hour of poking prodding eating drinking both times to feel her. I had a scan on Wednesday and everything was perfect should I be worried. This is my second babe

sorry I'm not sure, bumping your post though.

I think they say not to worry about regular movement until later on? x

I think at 19 weeks they're still small so its normal for them to have a few quieter days depending on their position. Mine certainly did and I don't have an anterior placenta. I'm not an expert but I wouldn't worry

From what I’ve read it seeme like at this stage there’s still loads of room for it to move Around so can go from feeling it lots to nothing at all x

Well I think the advice would always be to get checked if you are worried - there's no harm in going up to the hospital. At this time though baby is still tiny and could be in a position where you feel the movements slightly less. I think from 24 weeks they say you should be feeling he movements more regularly.

IME it's not unusual to have a change in movements at this stage -they can still 'hide' I had an anterior placenta and only really regular movements from 26ish weeks - if you are really worried you can call your MAU and see what they say.

Thanks ladies that means a lot she seems to have given me a few reassuring nudges just a lot fainter but it's on left side where my placenta is so that'll explain why I've made not been feeling her x

I don’t think they would see you at a hospital so early- or they won’t where I am so don’t take that as gospel in case other areas are different. Up to 24 weeks here if you have reduced movement there are drop in midwife sessions around and about daily and you can go and they will check the heartbeat. However at 17 weeks baby is so little there is lots of space for he/she to wriggle away and hide kicks behind the placenta.
