Worrying šŸ™„

I’m 5w + 5.

Last night I had an argument with DH and felt really stressed but in way that I sometimes feel if I’m hormonal with PMT. really worked up.

An hour or two after the argument I still felt like that which is why it felt hormonal but I felt like I wasn’t breathing properly and I was aware of my heartbeat. I was breathing but kind of feeling like I wasn’t getting enough breath and my heartbeat felt slow but I’m not sure. That carried in for a while and eventually I went to sleep.

This morning I feel ok apart from a stomach ache (not cramps, actual stomach ache) but I’m worried last night was a sign something was wrong with the baby and now I’m waiting signs that everything is ok like usual preg symptoms but presumably I’d continue to have those for a bit even if something had gone wrong.

I think perhaps I’m worrying too much.

Or I’m thinking have I eaten something I shouldn’t as I’ve generally been constipated but yesterday and today I’ve had a looser stool (sorry if TMI) and feel a little bit shaken like I’m either unwell or have low blood sugar...

I suffer from anxiety and experience all of those symptoms with that. However if you still feel shaken and are struggling to catch your breath today you could always pop down to your GP. But it sounds like panic symptoms to me. Hope you feel better soon.

Thanks Magpie. I think you are right. I think it is anxiety. Not used to feeling like i did last night. It was so weird. I just couldn’t relax.

Hello
Sorry to dive on in but this is literally what I was going to post!
Yesterday I found out I was 5 weeks pregnant
Woke up this morning to a sharp pain in my left arm that suddenly shot into my stomach on the left hand side!
I have a bad lower back ache..
I'm so scared!

This happened to me when my MIL was having an argument about (not with) me with my DH and literally making me hear the mean insults (I am still angry about that). I got very worked up despite not getting into the argument myself and felt the same things you are describing. I think it is a combination of anxiety and blood pressure playing up on you as a result. It took around two days for me to get back to normal. I would call the GP/MW if you have pain (as in cramps) in your lower abdomen accompanying this feeling. Also if you start feeling dizzy or feel very much out of breath, then it is also time to see the GP!

@Pugs1, I am not sure what this might be. At the beginning of pregnancy there is a lot of blood flowing to your baby and it probably has a huge impact on your general blood flow. On my Fitbit, my resting BMP jumped from a normal of 65 to 80+ when I found out I was pregnant. It remained like that for the first few weeks after finding out I was pregnant. Then it went down to 75 for a while and now back up in the 80s. There are days when I feel my blood flowing so heavily when sleeping on my left side that I could feel my heartbeat in my throat. Now this is nothing compared to sharp pains around the heart or in the left arm. I would reach out to your GP (I assume you have no midwife yet?) as soon as possible just to be safe.

Ginger that sounds similar. I feel ok now. Had a bit of a stomach ache but not fit long and that’s gone. I think I’m ok now (hopefully) but will have to be careful about getting worked up like that.

Pugs your experience sounds a bit different to mine. Hopefully everything is fine but I know how worrying it is. I think I would call gp (if open on Saturday) or 111 if it continues and you’re worried.
