UTI?

Hi all, the last few days I’ve been waking up every night and every morning needing the loo and feeling the kind of pain you get when you’ve been holding on for ages and it feels like your kidneys might actually hurt ( if you know what I mean)! Today on going to the loo it’s never gone away and I’ve felt that same “I’ve been holding it for hours” pain all day, plus and getting pain when I go to to the loo. I’ve just come back from the out of hours gp who did the dip test and said I don’t have a UTI. When I asked what else it could be is kinda fobbed me off with “oh you’re just pregnant” and then kept saying “I don’t have a reason to give you antibiotics but I can give you them if you want”. I said “no thanks” more than once and just asked “what should I do to help it/what else might it be/how long before I worry if it doesn’t go” etc, none of which he answered. So.... any thoughts? I’ve been pregnant before and this isn’t just feeling like I’ve got to run to the look all the time, it’s painful like I’ve held on way to long and my stomach is abdomen is aching as a result. Is it possible the baby position at 14 weeks could be causing it? Thanks in advance. X

I had this both pregnancies and I think it's a pretty normal feeling if I'm honest most people I know have had it at some point :/ some just get it abit worse then others I suppose x

@Pickledgerkingsareathing

Thanks for the reply. Did you have it all the way through or did it come and go? I can’t stand this for another 26 weeks! I didn’t have this at all last pregnancy.

I've a couple of UTIs in this pregnancy... Not the same symptoms (though obviously different for everyone) one episode I needed to wee like 10 times overnight... That was my only symptom. The other time was the more typical pain on urination of very small drops of wee.

I had this a few weeks ago and it did pass after a few days. I'm 23 weeks now and not had it again yet.
