So it's basically in the name, I'm 38 weeks and 5 days. I'm so fed up, I've had cramping the last few days and baby is moving none stop, dunno if that's a sign or not. Just wondering what helped you lovely ladies push Labour ahead? :)

Um.... nothing I'm afraid. It'll happen when your ready and not before.
I tried acupuncture, sex, pineapple, being as active as I could, frantic ball bouncing and was induced twice.... Sorry I know it's not what you wanted to hear.
BUT whatever you try the baby will be here soon! It's nearly over!

Maybe if you plan something lovely like a day out somewhere nice you will invoke Sod’s law and baby will scupper your plans by arriving?
If not you’ve had something to take your mind off being nearly 39 weeks pregnant!

I’m 39+5 today and have unsuccessfully tried the following:

  • eating dates
  • drinking raspberry leaf tea
  • bouncing on exercise ball
  • rubbing clary sage oil on my bump
  • sex (lots)
  • side lunging up and down the stairs
  • swimming

Have come to the conclusion that he will come when he’s good and ready!
