Has anyone else ever experienced this? It came on last Friday while I was in work.

I've been downing water to no effect, just means I'm weeing non stop.

Was at docs on Monday about something else, she took my blood pressure said it was about perfect and told me she thought it was a tension headache. We're now on day 7 😭. It's getting me down.

Most of what I've read talks about headaches in 1st trimester not 2nd and I was just wondering how many of you suffered. I didn't get them in 1st trimester at all.

i didnt have 1 headache during the first trimester, i am 17+3 and i have been getting them on/off for a couple weeks now. Have you tried paracetamol? that usually gets rid of mine and its safe to take

Hi @Anony yep paracetamol not touching it. Glad it's helping yours! Just trying an actual coffee, heard a little bit of caffeine can ease if you used to have a lot before you got pregnant.

Only ever got headaches before/during period before and would take ibuprofen every 4 hours until it didn't come back. Just so fed up! Had a shocking headache for 3-4 when it turns out was maybe 3-4 days after conception so before I knew and took paracetamol then just in case I was pregnant, it worked then!

If you usually get menstrual headaches then it is likely the hormones affecting you unfortunately. Hopefully it is just a 'brief' phase and will pass soon x

Thanks @Tiny. Hope so!

My midwife recommended Lucozade energy to me for mines. I suffer migraines and cluster headaches and due to pregnancy can't take the normal medication. It works to take mines away but I try to use it as little as possible and just record it in my caffeine that day

Nearly constant low-level headache (not throbbing though) was a symptom of iron deficiency for me. Do you have fatigue as well? Maybe ask about getting bloods done just in case.

Emma198 · 15/06/2018 17:19

Yes I do have fatigue too! I'm with midwife on Monday so will ask. Thank you x

Yes, I had one from about 15-18 weeks.

Unfortunately, it's a case of plenty of water and paracetamol, as long as all your other vitals like blood pressure etc. Are ok and you have no swollen feet.

Emma198 · 15/06/2018 17:30

Thanks @lifechangesforever. Blood pressure was fine on Monday, about perfect she said and nothing's swollen so I'll just persevere. Thank you x

I had this. Doctor and midwife both said tension headache. A sports ice pack (the flexible ones for injuries etc) on the back of my head/ neck gave me a fair bit of relief, particularly at night.

Hope this helps.
