VBAC after two CS for failure to progress

Looking for advice as we are planning baby #3.

DC1 was via CS at 42w after absolute failure to progress after pessaries etc. Bishops Score = 0.

DC2 delivered by ELCS at 39w. Breathing trouble at birth and v sick 10 days after. Birth debrief concluded that he might’ve come out too early.

My family history of 42w / 43w births means that next time I’d like to go down the route of attempting a VB but with regular monitoring. I’d probably be keen to deliver via CS if I got to 41+3 with no action. This was the plan for DC2 but the consultant changed his mind when he realised just how little I’d progressed with DC1 (basically I didn’t).

Please tell me if you have had a VBAC after two CS’ and if you had a history (or family history) of long gestation how this was managed?

My granny had 6 kids, all VBs, all live births, all 8lb+ and all 42/43w.
