Has anyone else suffered with 'floaters' while pregnant . I've started to notice that mine do and I don't know if this is normal or whether i'm lacking something in my diet. Sorry it's such a gross question.

I though it was a good sign that it floats.

if it floats isnt it supposed to be a sign of too much fat in your diet?

Twinkie · 12/08/2004 14:22

Hey northy - yes floating poo shows that you are working efficiently apparently - means it has been dealt with quickly and sent out straight away!!

shrub · 12/08/2004 14:22

my domestic science teacher said that its a good thing as you are eating enough fibre!

Sorry to disagree but it's not always good. If you are very very regular (ie more than once a day) it can be good, but usually it means that there is too much fat left in your poo - this can be a symptom of your liver not working efficently. Try drinking hot water and lemon first thing to kick start it.

what a great question! Sorry to say but mine were so "floaty" when i was pg that they used to actually disappear down the bog completely. i think its a sign that you maybe eat more healthily when pg??
