Has anyone had light bleeding after a late period and still had a BFP?

So I've been TTC with my partner for 2 years... My period always shows up on CD 26 on the dot... Today is CD 32 for me, and I ordered some HPT to come tomorrow... I've been having weird symptoms that I don't normally get with AF like trapped wind and snot like discharge (sorry if TMI), I felt so positive but tonight I started bleeding ever so lightly and it's only when I wipe... I really feel like I'm out this month.

I done research and it said spotting after a missed period can be something to do with placenta being formed, or something along those lines but I just feel so hopeless right now I don't know what to expect. Two lines on a HPT tomorrow or if AF is going to show up and put a dampen to my day!

Has anyone experienced light bleeding after a late period and still got their BFP? Xx

I had light bleeding on CD30, figured it was my period, CD33 I knew I was late (28-32 day cycles), took a test and negative (although it looked positive several hours later, but could have been an evap line). CD 40 (yes, I waited a whole week. This appears to be unheard of) I got the biggest BFP ever, positive before I finished poas. So it is entirely possible. Fingers crossed for you. And don't be downhearted if the first test is negative, but don't test obsessively.

@TinyTerror1 Aw that's good to hear you still got your BFP after a light bleed! I doubt I'm having spotting as the bleeding has got slightly heavier but still not on the way to an AF type of flow 🤷🏽‍♀️☹️
