20 Week Scan - BIG BABY!

So today we had our 20 week anomaly scan and all was wonderful with our little boy ☺️ However...the sonographer has put the fear of god in me as she has referred me for later growth scans due to baby being BIG! My first son was 13 days late and 8lb 4oz. I thought that was big enough! Please tell me I’m not going to have a giant baby 😂😳

I was overdue and huge and my consultant was convinced DS was too big and his shoulders would get stuck even though the sonography disagreed with him. He was born naturally at just under 10lb but he was very long and fairly skinny (99 centile length).

I was told my daughter would be ‘well over 9lb’ and had extra growth scans, she was born at 40+1 weighing 8lb 2! (But very long!)

It's way too early to tell how big or small baby will be could be born at 37 could be born at 42 weeks. Try not to worry just yet and look forward to the later growth scans.

It’s too early to determine the size of the baby. They don’t even start measuring your bump until at least week 24. My biggest was 10 lbs 3 so I’d love one the size of your DS Grin.
