I’m around 10+1, cramps seemed to die down a lot from 8 weeks onwards but have come back with a for a week.

No bleeding or spotting but these cramps are ALWAYS there to some extent or another. Other symptoms such as sore breasts, nausea and fatigue also persist sporadically.

They’re very much like AF cramps but have moved round to my lower back as well Confused

This has been a very worrying pregnancy so far. I can self refer to the EPU anytime I like but don’t want to take a scan away for someone else more in need than I am. Especially when there’s no bleeding involved.

Please tell me this and the on/off symptoms are normal at this stage?

I am 14 weeks and have had constant terrible cramps. Had two scans and all fine, midwife thinks it is just my ligaments stretching even though it feels like something worse.

If you will feel better I would go to EPU as it isn't worth worrying. I think if you have no bleeding and all other symptoms persist then you are fine.

I would give the EPU a call and see what they have to say about scanning you.

If it helps, I have had two miscarriages without cramps and three pregnancies with horrific cramps that were to the extent I assumed I was either miscarrying or in premature labour. Muscle/ligament pains and trapped wind/digestion/constipation can cause huge amounts of pain in pregnancy.

What multivitamins are you taking as I have found they can really exacerbate the pains.

I hope all goes well for you.

I had cramps with DD but can’t remember having them this late on. But then it was 5/6 years ago now so who knows.

The aren’t unbearable and no worse than period cramps. I gave in and rang my midwife earlier and she said it’s probably just ligaments stretching as the uterus grows up and out of the pelvis - she took it to be a good sign. She also said that it can be a bit of gas and constipation which I’ve had a little bit of but not terrible.

It’s settled a bit tonight (touch wood). I’m feeling fairly positive so that much be a good sign too - I’ve got no niggling doubt that there’s something wrong.

I had bad cramps at 10 weeks (I'm 21+4 now) and the midwife said that it was very common at that point due to the placenta implanting. Fingers crossed that this is what is going on with you.

Had a small brown bleed this morning and cramps are very mild but still there. Think I’m going to ring EPU today. Just can relax at all this time.

Rung EPU this morning, I’m having a scan on Monday morning. Will update as to how it all goes.

Cramps and spotting have really tapered off today (touch wood) taking that as a good sign.
