Hi- I am panicking! I had a misacrriage in October last year and previous to that I had an ectopic preg where I lost a tube.. the preg in sept/oct was due to me ovulating on the side where my tube was missing and it attaching and subsequently dying inside my 'bread basket' accordinging to the doctor. This preg is now at 5 weeks and I have had an implantation bleed and also I know I ovulated from my tubed side because I have pains around ovulation time.

I am suffering with period like pains. When I had my last mc during the internal scan I was told that I have a retroverted uterus which is probably causing me pain during my menstraul cycle and also affecting my ability to concieve.

The pain s in the centre lower down and is more painful when I breathe in, almost like a muscle pain, not like AF pain at all as that is usually shooting...
I am paincking though, I have not spotting since ovulation/implantation but I have noticed that when I lie on my back at night in bed the pain intensifies.. do you think this could be due to the positioning of my uterus being retroverted or maybe something more sinister?

I have got the doctors on Thursday and part of me knows I'll be sent to the EPU where I lost my lost two babies, I almost don't want to go. I am really scared but also trying to stay positive,.

Have you ever had AF type plains or muscle pains as early as 4-5 weeks ???

Hi Hon
Sorry to hear what you are going through. I had pains and aches all the way through til about 24 weeks. I was constantly aching and in pain. It stopped for about 6 weeks and has now come back again. What I am saying is that a lot of people have pains and its actually quite common, although all books etc fail to mention this. I also had a MC previous to this PG and like you panicked that something was wrong. The EPU was the onlt way to put my mind at ease. If you are worried don't wait til Thurs- go and see someone sooner.
Hope all works out- keep your chin up
xxxx

thank you, it is horrible though because I am at work and due to me working in a msall office I can't just disappear.. I am panicking slightly.. butto be honest I find the pain goes when I have a full stomach... I am trying to eat continually but I putting loads of weight on.. I usually get really bloated and have pains throughout all of period which usually lasts about 5-6 days so I hopeing this is just my body thinking it is having a period!

Bluebell

I had the sort of pains you describe - was cacking myself it was going wrong. I also found out at a later scan (11 weeks) that I had retroverted uterus and a fibroid which was the probable source of the pain. Am now 18+3

the pg after mc thread on here is really good and supportive if you want to come and join us

All the best x

Hi bluebell

So sorry to hear of your past losses - I have no experience of m/c or ectopic but just thought I would let you know I am 5+2 and had quite strong AF style cramps everyday from 10dpo/3 weeks and they have only just subsided over the weekend.
I did not test until 17dpo when my AF was 3 days late as the cramps were so convincinng I was sure AF would start any minute. In fact I only realised they may be different when I had a nice bath which usualy helps AF cramps but this time it made them worse!
I have no other symtoms except sore boobs and thrush (great! - but that is probably from antibiotics I was on last week) and the cramps were quite disconcerting - but now I am not sure if I am relieved they have stopped or not!! I have searched around and posted on some of the regular threads and it seems that AF style crams are very common and often explained as the uterus expanding.
Just wanted to let you know I share your panic and worry - am sure I will not believe this is real unless/until I make it to the 12 weeks scan (seems so far away!!)
It is sooo scary!!

Lets hope for loads of reassurance and a nice uneventful next 8 months!!

The cramps are fairly normal and seem par for the course for a lot of us in the early stages have a look at the due in new year thread might put your mind at rest slightly.

i had cramps from week 4 (day period was due) all the way to week 14 and was conviced something was wronge ( i had a mmc last summer) But i am now 27 weeks! I also retroverted uterus but the only problems they said it caused was scanning in the early stages to be able to get a good look.
Hope all goes well for you, agree with ejb that thread has been my lifeline for the last 24 weeks!!!
