Morning ladies need some advice really! I am 28+2 and the last few days I have got really big and having major pains down below, in my lower back and everything is tight and I’m so out of breath. I’ve heard of Braxton Hicks contractions but not sure what they feel like. Has anyone given birth at the stage I’m on now? I’m getting so uncomfortable now and just want to meet my baby girl x

Obviously you are still way too early! You really wouldn't want to give birth too early as there can be many complications. If you're worried phone your midwife or maternity assessment!

Obviously people do give birth this early but it is not something you would wish for. No amount of discomfort is worse than having such a premature baby. Call your midwife if your concerned. That baby needs to stay out for at least another 10 weeks.

Thank you both. Oh no I definitely don't want an early baby just the pains I'm having are so bad was just wondering if it was anything to do with Labour coming on. This is my first baby so I'm abit clueless as to what's happening with my body etc

Ask your midwife how your haemoglobin looks for your last lot of bloods. I needed iron supplements at around 30 weeks. Helped immensely with breathlessness. I had restless legs also which went away once I started on the iron. Lactulose at the same time, as it can bung you up.
