Very sore and achy back

Hi All,

I’m 6 months pregnant and have been struggling massively with a bad back. This is down to the way I’m sleeping I think. I’m usually a front sleeper or back but now I’m sleeping on my side. Have tried sleeping on my back with a tonne of pillows to prop myself up but this isn’t helping with my back pain.

Any suggestions on what I can do to ease the pain? Are there any exercises/therapies I could look at?

Do you put a pillow between your legs when you sleep on your side? I find that really helps with all the various pains I get. Otherwise there are some back stretching/strengthening exercises you can do (google 'back strengthening exercises pregnancy), or look for a nearby antenatal yoga class which might help. Go see an osteopath and do any yoga stretches you can.
