First pregnancy and so far been okay but im.higer risk. Had a full term scan on Tuesday which showed baby is engaged and I have placental lakes (whatever they are).
I've been feeling exhausted, regular stomach hardenings last day or so ( no pain so I like BH), extremely restless and unable to sleep. I'm struggling to walk around much as my hips and vagina (sorry tmi) are achey. Top software's my legs are sore - like you get if you go running or do hard exercise. I'm exhusted but can't sleep hence the three am MN message!
I havnt felt like this before in the pregnancy. Is it normal?

I remember feeling like that near the end! I think it's just the strain on your body of carrying and continuing to grow a little person.
I couldn't walk from one side of the room to the other without all my stomach hardening, and I felt like the baby was literally hanging between my legs!
It's so frustrating when you feel exhausted but you can't sleep, and everyone keeps telling you to get sleep! Just try and rest if you can.
Do you have a yoga ball? I found that helped my hips and legs. I'd just sit on it and lightly bounce.
It's tough being a very pregnant woman!
Would a warm bath help? Trying to think of anything that might help you to relax.

I'd love a bath but we have a shower only. I've taken paracetamol to ease it off. I have a yoga ball in garage which I need to inflate (disorganised!).
Thanks for reassuring me. My partner's away thus weekend so was a bit worried it could be labour - I want him to come but not yet!

Ah I can totally see why you were a bit stressed then. My partner worked shifts and i was always stressed that something would happen when he wasn't around.
Definitely try the yoga ball when you get chance- it did help my back, hips and legs and people always told me it helped to get things going! Didn't help me as I was induced at 40+5 haha!
It all sounds positive though, everything is going the right way. I hope it goes well for you.

Everything you've explained here is normal. I am 38 weeks and at 37 I was feeling exactly the same as you, especially achy, BH were getting really strong and I just couldn't settle. Third pregnancy and I still swore labour was really close but nope, everything has calmed down now apart from struggling to walk and the odd BH throughout the day. You'll be fine! Just your body carrying a baby and getting ready for birth. It takes time, things will come and go as you get closer to labour. Good luck!
