Morning sickness question

Hi all!

I am 5 weeks exactly today (I think). For the past week or so I have had the occasional moment of feeling sick but nothing major. However the past couple of days I’ve sort of gone off food I.e feeling hungry but then when I start to eat I’m not really interested.

Just wondering what others experiences are with morning sickness? Did you feel nauseous for a while before or did it just hit one day?

Thanks x

I was nauseous from day dot, at least a week before AF was due, at the time I thought it was noticable, and to be fair it was and it was constant.

I’m 7+3 today and this week it has hit me like a fart in the face. Spraying deodorant makes me puke, the thought of food makes me wretch.

Although, to be fair I’ve not really got much up yet, other than flem and the tiniest bit of the previous nights dinner but it tends to happen more when I’ve not eaten. My technique has been eating little and often.

It’s a shame that all my go-to foods that worked last week now repulse me, there’s no food left for me to eat! I need starburst, damn it!!

I was nauseous from about 4 weeks. I’m 12 weeks now and have been sick only 3 times, thank goodness.

Beige, bland foods are the way forward. I’ve also found cold food easier to eat than hot food. If the baby comes out looking like a sandwich, I won’t be at all surprised 😂

Mine started around 3 weeks, started with just slight nausea then developed to vomiting/worse nausea. It's very different from 1 person to the next though.

Agree beige and bland. Crackers, plain toast, salted popcorn, plain crisps, bread sticks.... Thank goodness for pregnancy vitamins because I wasn't getting anything vitamin related from my food!!!

MS is horrible, lots of rest helps :-)

Mine started around 3 weeks and lasted until I was 16 weeks. I felt like I was hungover 24/7 never had a Break from it. I lost so much weight from not eating, but thankfully no actual vomiting. But everyone is different :)
Rice crackers and ice pops got me through the day 😂

It’s different with every pregnancy.
DC1 I was extremely nauseous and couldn’t eat from 6 weeks to 12 weeks. I was only actually sick twice. I lost nearly a stone as I couldn’t eat.
DC2 I was sick every single morning from 6 weeks until birth. No nausea after my morning sick, ate loads and put on loads of weight in the first trimester!
Now 11 weeks with DC3. Severe nausea from 5 weeks. At 7 weeks it turned into vomiting, and I’ve heen since 5-10 times a day ever since. By far my worst first trimester so far.
