No baby or heart beat in 6 week scan

Hi everyone i had a six week scan today and the lady said everything was as it should be but she couldnt see a baby has anyone had this still feeling pregnant morning sickness has practically gone tho alto boobs still hurting etc

Was the scan internal or external? I had an external one at 6 weeks and only the sac was visible but the internal scan showed a baby and heartbeat. Think it may be quite normal to not see anything still though? Fx!

I'm a bit confused - surely if the Sonographer said everything is as it should be then there's nothing to worry about!?

I had an internal scan at 6 weeks due to bleeding and they said they could see nothing (no sac etc) told me my dates must be wrong. Re scanned 2 weeks later and was 7+5. Now 33 weeks and all fine. I think that early on it is quite possible not to find anything on a scan and everything be fine!

It was internal i originally went in as i had a lot of pain in stomach am probably just over thinking something bad is happening the sac and yolk was there just no baby ive got another scan in a week i was just hoping to see something

I had a scan at 6 weeks with my third due to a bit of bleeding and saw the baby and the heartbeat. I don't understand why they've told you everything looks as it should. Fingers crossed it will be ok on your next scan x

I didn't see a heartbeat until gone 7 weeks with both of my last pregnancies. With this one the epu were fairly certain it was a blighted ovum as I had an empty sac and high hgc but a week later there was a baby and a heartbeat.

Have they booked you in for a second scan in a week or so? The yolk sac is a good sign but seeing progression (or not) on the scans will confirm what is going on

I had a scan at five weeks and they only saw the sac. Nothing else. They scanned me again at 8weeks and there was a little embryo with a heartbeat. She's now a healthy 2 year old.

I had bleeding at six weeks exactly according to LMP, had a scan and was told everything looked normal for 5/5.5 weeks. Went back in a week later so 7 weeks according to LMP and saw the baby and heartbeat, 6w6d according to scan. Had my 12 week scan at 12+6 according to LMP, scan said 13w3d. Don't be downhearted. I know that's easier said than done.

I had a 6 week scan where I was certain of dates as it was IVF. The same findings - sac and yolk sac only. They prepared me for the worst but a week later there was a baby and heartbeat and the rest of the pregnancy was fine. It really could go either way. Good luck! x
