Will my ELCS get moved up?

Booked in for an ELCS a week on Mon at 40+2. Was supposed to be 39 weeks but was told by booking midwife that this was 'all they had'.

Am v much supposed to be delivered as close to 39 weeks as possible because of several health factors, and spontaneous labour would be very very stressful for me. So I was pretty upset after finding out it was a distinct possibility.

But today I spoke to the dr who does the pre op checks and he says I'm number one on the list to be moved up, should an ELCS slot become available earlier.

What do you think of my chances, folks? Should I get that hospital bag ready?

Yes get it ready. Quite a few will go into labor before their elective so chances are high you'll be moved up.

Eeeee! Ok, all packed. Fingers crossed for next week.

I got called a week early and offered a slot as they weren't busy that morning 😂

Everything is crossed now.

Fingers crossed for you. My dd was born on Thursday morning having missed the memo she was meant to wait for my elective and they told me they'd just call someone else in to take the empty slot (I have weird priorities when in pain).
