Big knickers?

I am now 32 weeks pregnant. This heat is killing me!!! I am sweaty everywhere ( sorry if tmi!) I have mastered the comfy bra and stick deodorant for under the boobs but I cannot find comfy knickers!!!! Bump is quite low and all the knickers I have roll down and chafe under bump and my thigh/ groin creases! Please please please help a hot uncomfortable grumpy itchy woman feel a bit more comfortable ( and yes I have tried going without but I need my Tena ladies!!!)

I found some nice high ones in Primark. The 'full briefs' I believe they were called 😂

babywipessolveanything · 08/06/2018 18:30

Tesco do seam free ones that are a proper brief. I wear them for the gym but might be good for you?

hungryhippie · 08/06/2018 18:32

I loved my over the bump knickers. Mine were from mothercare

User0304 · 08/06/2018 18:32

Sainsbury’s do nice BIG knickers that i wore for the last few weeks before giving birth then for a few weeks after too.

jadeward89 · 08/06/2018 18:50

I got some from Primark full briefs I think they were. I bought them bigger than I was to make sure they were comfortable enough for during and after pregnancy 😊

lifechangesforever · 08/06/2018 18:54

I'm actually finding my thongs still the comfiest to wear but probably doesn't help you when you need Tena ladies actually!

For after birth though I've bought packets of Primark's 'full brief' in XL - which is an 18-20 (was a 16 pre pregnancy). They look comfy that's for sure and I think £3 for 4 pairs so doesn't matter if they get ruined post-birth.

Sorry you're feeling so uncomfortable - I'm here with you in sympathy at 34 weeks but it's SPD and extremely swollen feet for me Sad

I got full briefs from primark for after the birth. Very comfy considering. They may be okay for you.

Giant asda full knickers with the lace top. The lace seems to stop them rolling down if you go 2 or 3 sizes up from pre pregnancy weight. They're also cheap so doesn't matter if you bleed all over them after the baby.

www.next.co.uk/g224252s8#166275 these are my fave while pregnant, I've just gone a size up for extra comfort

MeadowHay · 08/06/2018 19:55

I've got some big comfy ones from Primark and Sainsbury's.

StillMissV · 08/06/2018 19:58

I got these and they are sooo comfy under my bump, especially in summer when during the day I've often already got over the bump jeans and then a top, over the bump pants would be three layers on my tummy, ooft

Oooh!! Thank you all! Some shopping to be done. I have been wearing M&S big knickers mainly but not comfy at all disappointingly. Thanks again for all your suggestions!

Do you def want big knickers? I’m finding M&S bikini pants the best by far (33weeks, low bump), less fabric, sit under bump but cover my bum.

womanofacertain · 08/06/2018 23:18

Levithecat they look lovely too. Have been wearing the low rise shorts but tried recently going into bigger knickers as the top of them were rubbing my old c section scar. The bigger knickers just roll down and rub!!! Those look like they might rub less so will give em a go!! Need big knickers soon though as am going for an elective section 😣

That must be horrid in the heat, def want to avoid the rubbing... I find those ones pretty inoffensive and don’t notice them on.

I found it hard to find the perfect post birth big knickers last time, in the end I wore these, but went up 2 sizes...

And all the very best for your section, hope it’s a positive experience.

sneakpeek1414 · 09/06/2018 08:17

I second the Tesco seam free knickers, they're microfibres material so minimise chafing!

Drchinnery · 09/06/2018 08:22

Sainsbury's do a full on huge high waisted granny pant which I got after my csection they were great i wish I'd had them when I was pregnant! I had a massive low bump I used to use liquid talc in the creases and under my boobs and tuck my vest or belly band into the top of my knickers slightly to stop rubbing.

Oh the glamour!

iklboo · 09/06/2018 08:29

I wore boxers. So comfy.

laurG · 09/06/2018 10:14

Marks and Spencer’s pure cotton granny pants. I bought some at the start of my pregnancy for thrush and they’ve been a total lifesaver. They say they are a size 12. Nearer a 16 I think. Huge. At 36 weeks they go over the bump. Really good for the sweat and itching due to cotton.
