40 + 5 with cramps- labour?

Hi,
Ftm here, 5 days overdue- just wondering does anyone know if continuous period like cramps are a sign of labour? I've had them for an hour now. I thought with contractions they come and go? Also felt very faint and dizzy this morning but that's gone now.

Could be initial stages, sure! Get some rest if you can.

Yes I had cramps all morning as you describe. It switched into full labour by evening. Baby born in the early morning. Good luck!
