I know this should probably be in conception section, but figured everyone in there still trying to get pregnant so couldn't help me. I'm feeling really down at the moment, came on my period yesterday again, after two miscarriages, the last one being nearly two years ago. Doctors have said we can try chlomid, and waiting for husbands sperm test to come back before they'll refer us. We do have one 4 year old daughter, but are desperate for another. Does anyone have any happy chlomid success stories they can share with me to keep me going please.

Me! I'm currently 20 weeks with our first, we were trying for 18 months. After the first 12 months I was diagnosed with PCOS, and after various tests for both of us I was prescribed clomid. The started me on a low dose and worked me up to the maximum over each successive cycle. None of the lower doses worked, and didn't even trigger ovulation, but the first month on the highest dose did the trick!

When we announced our pregnancy to friends and family, we then found out that quite a number of children were 'clomid babies' too!

Good luck x

I conceived DS on my 2nd cycle of Clomid, having been diagnosed with PCOS after a year of TTC with very irregular periods. It has pretty good success rates with PCOS but I don't know if it's as good if that's not the cause of your difficulties.

I’m now 36 weeks with my rainbow clomid baby!!! Two miscarriages last year completely messed up my cycle, went private and was prescribed Clomid. Conceived second cycle on lowest dose.
Fingers crossed for you xx

I had 3 miscarriages and my Mum the same....all babies boys. Doctors are unsure it's linked but all pregnancies reached the 15 week mark then ended no explained reason. Tried clomid and my baby is now 5 months old. X

Feeding clomid baby now. PCOS, with clomid ovulated every month but nothing happened. First month of seven not taking clomid and, hey presto! Clomid can still trigger ovulation two months after you stop taking it so I had success even when my prescription ended. Good luck.

Me! We had been trying for 12 months before we were referred to the fertility team who diagnosed PCOS. Husband was fine but I've always had very irregular periods so doctor prescribed clomid and provera. We conceived on the 3rd round of clomid (not sure of the dosage) and I'm currently 32 weeks pregnant with our first. The first two rounds were very...mechanical, and it took all the fun out of it for us. The third round we just tried to relax and not put pressure on ourselves and somehow it worked for us. Best of luck.

Hello lady’s ! I’m aware it’s been a fair few weeks now , how did you get on fruitandbarley ?? Started my first chlomid tonight 😬

I'm on holiday and not got appointment till I'm home, but since posting this have found out I have Hashimotos autoimmune disease so my own body attacks itself, including sperm and embryos. I had to fight the doctor to do the test as they don't routinely and he kept telling me there was nothing wrong with my blood results (I'm already on thyroxine as have underactive thyroid, now know the reason is autoimmune). I urge anyone else out there with thyroid issues to do lots of research and request all the tests that they don't do but are vital, and also research optimal levels. Anyway, I don't know where I stand now, but lots of luck to you Anastasia.
