Hello can I join you?
Feel a bit nervous jumping over to the pregnancy boards but trying to do as @cakelaur suggests and be positive.

I’m 36 this is my 4th pregnancy and I’m 5+3 today. I have DS aged 2 and miscarried at 5weeks in January followed by an mmc at the beginning of May. Hoping it’s a case of third time lucky this year.

Already seen the midwife briefly for a blood test to check my immunity to parvovirus which thankfully I am immune too.

HidCat · 16/07/2018 07:08

@MisBit1 congratulations and welcome! I'm 5+4 so we're about the same. I hope you're feeling ok.

Alicejj8x · 16/07/2018 07:21

@MisBit1
Congratulations :)
I too have had 2 MMC so this is the 3rd
Time
Lucky for me also :) it's very hard not to panic I 100% understand but just try take each day as it comes and think this is a new pregnancy :) that's how I've gone about it so
Far xx

Hi ladies has anyone experienced spotting? I'm 5+4 and had a streak of dark red blood on wiping. I think it's probably leftover from implantation - I had the exact same thing a few days before my bfp. Just wanting reassurance, going to call my midwife when I get a chance but I can't atm (in the middle of hospital waiting room with my Mum and can't leave).

Cakelaur · 16/07/2018 15:10

@HidCat I had bleeding at 5+4, 6+1, 8+1 and 11+6 (none were heavy) Just spotting. All has been fine the first two apparently were implantation and the latter two were bang on when my period would be due.

I cannot stop sleeping. I remember the 1st trimester being exhausting but I think with the added heat just makes me want to sleep all day. Unfortunately I have a 2 year old so naps are sporadic!

HidCat · 16/07/2018 20:11

@Cakelaur thanks for that. Nothing since so not worrying about it. It was only a Ames amongst some ewcm so I'm sure it's nowt to worry about.

MisBit1 · 16/07/2018 20:36

Thank you for the warm welcome.

I’m doing ok @hidcat I’ve had some nausea but I’m so happy to have symptoms I don’t realky mind, even bloating and heartburn seem good atm! It’s nice to have someone with such close dates!

I think the stats are something like 50% of women have some bleeding in pregnancy. I’m sure your midwife will give some reassurance if you’re worried. Hope your mum is ok.

@Alicejj8x third times the charm!

MisBit1 · 17/07/2018 18:41

@Lovemysparkle just tagging you to see if the thread is working.

clairehr · 17/07/2018 18:55

Got my 12w scan appointment through so that is now my new target 😍 7th August feels like aaaaaages away, and I don't mean to wish away the lovely weather, but I hope it comes round quickly!

Alicejj8x · 17/07/2018 19:04

I know cramps and stretching is normal and don't
Get me wrong it's not painful painful but I defo know these cramps are here today :/

I'm
9 weeks tomorrow and have my scan tmo
Morning so freaking out that these cramps mean something is wrong
:/

clairehr · 17/07/2018 21:04

@Alicejj8x I had exactly this a couple of days ago around the same time, more intense cramps than I'd had for a bit. I assume it was all hormone related as also got a whole rush of other symptoms the next day, but has died down again now. You'll see baby tomorrow and all will be well.

Cakelaur · 17/07/2018 22:31

@Alicejj8x I get cramps all the time still and I'm 18 weeks. Often I think... shit I'm gonna be bleeding. But nope.. all good. 🤞🏻🤞🏻 good luck with your scan tomorrow babe. Can't wait to see little bub!

Alicejj8x · 18/07/2018 06:47

@clairehr @Cakelaur
Thank you both so much
They seem to have gone this morning and wasn't that painful but I just knew they were there if that makes sense

I really am hoping bub is still happy inside just such a huge worry isn't it.

Xx

Patienceofatoddler · 18/07/2018 07:53

Love reading this thread.

@Cakelaur 18 weeks that's flown by (although bet it hasn't for you)

@HidCat sorry you had some bleeding it is really worrying isn't it nothing like trying to keep us on the ball

Welcome @MisBit1 hope this is your third time lucky

@peachesarenom I'm sorry things felt just so overwhelming. Did you manage to sort your consultant appointment out? Usually the letters say the consultant your under then say youl see them or a member of their team.

Things are ticking over here. 14w 1d today. Have my 16 week appointment with Midiwife next week. I am going to be asking for them to do a Liver Function Blood Tests as I had Cholestasis from 19 and 17 weeks respectively with my last two successful pregnancies. I've gone from being paranoid about checking for bleeding to paranoid about any itch BlushConfused

At the moment though I am just enjoying 'knowing' and everyone else not knowing and hoping the dreaded itch never turns up.

SpongeBobGrannyPants · 18/07/2018 09:17

Hi to the newbies (@MisBit1 and anyone else I've missed - I'm so rubbish at name checking on the app). Keeping everything crossed for sticky beans.

Bleeding is an odd one. I've been told it's "not necessary normal", but not uncommon - and the latter is certainly the case, both from my own experience and those of many, many women I know. Such a worry though.

I got my quad blood results back last week (couldn't get the combined test as baby wouldn't get in the right position for the NT measurement) and came back as 1 in 740 for downs. I've always had higher risk numbers (only one case where it was in the bracket for further testing) so wasn't expecting the 1 in 10,000 that most people seem to get, but relatively reassured by this figure, for my age, and have decided we won't be getting the harmony testing. 20 week scan is not far off now anyway so I guess they'll check for any markers then.

Alicejj8x · 18/07/2018 10:22

Scan was all good and measuring 9 weeks. 1 measurement was 8w6d and the other was 9
Bean was wiggling so much she couldn't get a true measurement but told me to prob go with the 9 week mark :)

Heart was going and cannot believe how wriggly it was 😍😍😍😍
