How did the scan go @SpongeBobGrannyPants?

Athers666 · 06/07/2018 15:38

@Wiggle4 I'm so sorry you're having a rubbish time at the moment. I've felt a few twitches but they are not everyday, maybe every other day I think? But still very faint. It's so hard not to worry, I said to dH the other day, I'd only stop worrying if I could literally be hooked up to the scanner 24/7! Like you I'm finding pregnancy hard and just wish I could relax and enjoy, but there's always something new to worry about isn't there?! X

SpongeBobGrannyPants · 06/07/2018 16:22

Sorry meant to report back. The scan went well @Wiggle4, thanks for asking. Lots of movement and wriggling around and growth all looked ok.

SPD is horrid, so sorry to hear you're suffering already. A good bump support belt can help a little. And they've probably said, but avoid things like hoovering, pushing trolleys etc. I also understand your other concerns. It's still early to feel daily movement, I'm in the same boat. Desperate for the reassurance that the regular movement will give. Won't be long now though. I found out yesterday the placenta is posterior so I'm hoping that means I'll feel regular movements quite soon (have had anterior with my two live babies). Do you know where your's is positioned?

Trigger in pics...

Ladies can you help me please.. ( not for me but for a friend)
She found out a few weeks ago she was pregnant and went for a scan today.. this is what was found in her scan
They have referred her to the EPU Monday for another scan.. nothing much is being said but I wondered if you could help with any ideas as to if this is good news/ bad news or just too early?
Apparently she’s around 6 weeks but we reckon she could of ovulated later.
Thank you 🙂

Back from my scan, bub measured 9+3 which is exactly what we thought. Heartbeat, two arms and two legs kicking 😊 it was so amazing to see bub wriggling and moving around, I’m just so in love. Also got my letter from hospital today and my 12 week scan is 24th July 😬

Awww lovely photos @hayleyfx. I know what you mean-so easy to fall in love with that little black and white wiggler.

@SpongeBobGrannyPants so glad the scan went well 😊 tbh I only have the pelvic pain and I'm hoping it's more a case of having overdone it the last few days and some rest will help fix it! Placenta is high anterior-not sure what that means?

@Athers666 yup! Everything is a worry! Would be lovely to have just one worry free day haha

HidCat · 06/07/2018 18:24

@hayleyfx gorgeous scan pics!

RedRobin7 · 06/07/2018 19:00

@hayleyfx Lovely photos! Thanks for sharing 😊

BabynameEdie · 06/07/2018 21:26

Beautiful photos @hayleyfx congrats! It's such a wonderful feeling isn't it. I loved my 9 week scan but now at 11 weeks I'm all worried and panicky again! 😂 don't think I'll rest until I have my bub in my arms! X

clairehr · 06/07/2018 21:35

@hayleyfx So lovely, and how amazing that baby was moving, I can't wait to see that 😍

I'm sat here comparing my scans, only a week apart, and dwelling on the miracle that it is LIFE inside us ❤

Ohhh @Wiggle4 try to rest as much as you can. SPD is so cruel, I had it from 17 weeks with my first and it is so debilitating. Get a support belt if you can and sleep with a pillow between your legs. You may already know all of this of course but thought I'd throw it out there just in case!

While I've been able to feel what I think are movements for over a week now, they definitely aren't regular or predictable yet. I'm 15+3 so keep telling myself it will be awhile before I can be sure it's movement too. I feel similarly where I switch between worrying and wanting a scan right away... hoping it'll level out soon!

hayleyfx · 06/07/2018 22:02

Thank you all ladies. It really is incredible seeing bub move about 😍

@clairehr it’s so amazing, truly a miracle! 💕

@BabynameEdie I just know I’m going to be the same in a couple weeks when it comes to the 12 week scan, it’s so nerve wracking! Hope your next scan goes perfectly - which I’m sure it will 😊

Just ordered this if anyone's interested bargain at £20! X

rdm10 · 06/07/2018 22:42

@RedRobin7 my scan was at epu. I spoke to my community midwife when I first got my BFP and she booked me in for a reassurance scan. The dr today said she’d see me again in 2 weeks because she knew I had a mc last time and knew it would be hard for me to wait til the 12 wk scan. Maybe check with your midwife and see if your epu will scan you?

I’ve just read another thread asking if 7 week scans are accurate and everyone has said their beans were measuring pretty much exactly where they thought they were, anything more than a few days and it ended badly. So now I’m totally feeling negative and just waiting for the worst to happen.

Cakelaur · 06/07/2018 23:18

@rdm10 I went for 6+4 scan. Measures 5+6 but with a heart beat. By the time I got up to my 8 week scan I was a day ahead of schedule. When they're so tiny it's really hard for them to measure. The heartbeat is the reassurance. And I bet once you have your next scan you'll be back to where you should be.

Congrats on scans @hayleyfx and @clairehr amazing pics.

@Wiggle4 Anterior means the placenta is at the front so you may feel movements a little later or they may be a little bit more muted. High is good as it's away from your cervix.

Anyday88 · 07/07/2018 00:18

Hi, hope it's ok for me to join!

I had a miscarriage in April and just got my bfp a couple of days ago.

This will be baby number 3 for me.

I tested again this afternoon and it was much stronger.

RedRobin7 · 07/07/2018 07:16

@rdm10 It's sooo hard not to panic but a few days at such an early stage is okay. My 8 week scan was over a week behind and that's when things went wrong. Try to keep thinking that everything will be okay, even though I know that's hard.

I'm also struggling to be positive due to the fact I have no symptoms. I just wish my boobs would hurt or I felt sick. I need a sign that something is happening in there!!

HidCat · 07/07/2018 07:48

@clairehr it's amazing how fast they develop isn't it?

@rdm10 I hope you're doing ok. 2 weeks will seem like forever but I'm sure that baby will have a spurt and all will be fine. Try to think positive.

@Anyday88 welcome over! How are you feeling?

@RedRobin7 I had no symptoms in either of my previous pregnancies and only had nausea for 4 days this time so far. Only 4 weeks and the nausea has cleared already, hoping it doesn't come back lol!

RedRobin7 · 07/07/2018 08:04

@HidCat Thank you, that's reassuring! It's so hard not to panic. Especially as I've been avoiding going out in this heat so I've just been sat around overthinking about life! I want this so badly but I know it's not healthy!

@Anyday88 Welcome! What's your due date? If you want to join the March board over in the antenatal groups there's quite a few of us in there already. Many who have had a MC so lots of support in there too.

Anyday88 · 07/07/2018 08:23

Hi @RedRobin7 due date is 17th March so still really early! I haven't made contact with midwife yet but may do you n the next week or so.
I will have a look for those boards thank you!

@HidCat I'm fine really not much to report. I'm pretty tired but I'm always tired with two little ones and we went to an outdoor cinema to watch grease last night so it was a late one too. How are you feeling? What is your due date?

RedRobin7 · 07/07/2018 08:27

@Anyday88 St. Patrick's Day due date! Now that's a good day to have a baby! 🍀 I'm due either 28th Feb / 1st March depending what I go by. I'm sure it'll be late so that's why I joined the March boards. I saw my dr last week but don't have my booking in appointment until I'm 9+6 on 1st August which feels like ages away!

HidCat · 07/07/2018 14:31

@Anyday88 my due date is about March 14th. Had quite bad nausea for a few days but it's calmed down a bit. A weird smelling candle did set me off though 🤢. Saw the midwife yesterday to do what they call pre-booking. Got my next appointment at 8weeks, so early August.
