Congrats on the lovely scans today ladies!

And welcome @Cobalt waves

Alicejj8x · 27/06/2018 13:03

@RedRobin7 oh I know what you mean hun I have to constantly reassure myself everyday to but it does seem on these sites a lot of ppls symptoms do ease up about the 6 week mark then kick back off again.

Ahh just keep counting down them
Days lovely x

RedRobin7 · 27/06/2018 16:22

@Alicejj8x I'm feeling very cold this afternoon and have goosebumps even though the room is 23 degrees. Just took my temp and it's lower than normal. Now I'm worried ☹️ I have a drs appointment at 9am tomorrow so will speak to the dr about it then.

Alicejj8x · 27/06/2018 16:51

@RedRobin7
Oh really?.. hmm I haven't heard of that before could you have a little bug?

RedRobin7 · 27/06/2018 16:56

@Alicejj8x I have been working in a ridiculously hot office this week (30 degrees) so maybe it's heat exhaustion or something. Then last night I probably got too hot with a duvet on me. Argh! I'm covered up again and it's 24 degrees in my lounge now. Definitely not right. Don't know if I should be trying to keep cool and fight the goosebumps or warm up!

Cakelaur · 27/06/2018 19:48

Yay for all scans today!!
Welcome @CobaltRose so glad you found us.

I'm starting to get excited. My best mate just brought round 'a few' hand me downs!!! Looks like my evening is sorted!!! Haha I'll be washing and sorting through girls/boys/unisex and age group. Eek!!

Welcome @CobaltRose ! Congrats and fingers crossed for you this is your sticky bean 🤞💕
@Cakelaur thanks, I know I read up all about the stats at 9 weeks with a heartbeat so I'm starting to feel a teeny tiny bit excited. I was also sick today for the first time (woohoo!- never thought I'd be celebrating that!)
Just seen your photo - OMG! That's amazing, what a lovely friend. Although wow that's a lot to sort through!! Hope you're doing well xx

Alicejj8x · 27/06/2018 20:24

@RedRobin7
Oh bless you! YeH it could just be where you overheated?? How are you feeling now?
Keep an eye on it xx

RedRobin7 · 27/06/2018 21:37

@Cakelaur Ah that's lovely 😊 but forget about that gesture for a second... I have serious kitchen envy!!!!

@Alicejj8x I put layers on and got a bit warmer (even though the room was 26 degrees!) and then had a curry for dinner and now I'm feeling much more normal. It was very strange but will mention to the dr tomorrow.

peachesarenom · 27/06/2018 22:00

Your kitchen Cakelaur!!! Will you make us all cake when bubs arrive?

Cakelaur · 27/06/2018 22:53

Thank you for all the lovely comments on my kitchen!! I love it too. Took me ages to decide on the design. Now we've finished the house I wanna move!! Haha 🙈

@peachesarenom defo cakes all round but they'll be made in the kitchen at work. Less pets there!! Haha

Need a huddle today girlies. Someone without thinking at work yesterday said I don't look 'big enough' for 16 weeks and asked if everything was ok. My consultant and midwife have both reassured me about my lack of weight gain but her comment still got me really paranoid and now today I've just cried so many times. I know I'm hormonal and only 6 days to go until scan and I heard the heart beat on Tuesday but given the fact that I lost my last baby due to growth restriction I can't stop the sick feeling that it could happen again ☹

Wiggle4 · 28/06/2018 10:53

Also @cakelaur major kitchen envy!

Welcome to all newbies 😊

RedRobin7 · 28/06/2018 10:59

@Wiggle4 Seriously what is wrong with some people?! I don't know why people don't think before they open their mouths. We are all built differently, some people show early, some show late, some have a small bump and some don't. You really do not need to worry. Your midwife and consultant know best so please try to relax xx

@Cakelaur Saw your baking announcement on the other thread and loved it! 😍

SpongeBobGrannyPants · 28/06/2018 11:07

I'm just about 16 weeks and I think I look fat/thick, not pregnant (getting closer to a more obvious baby bump, but a couple more weeks at this fat stage I think!) . I'd never judge anyone's bump anyway! We're all built differently.

Did they know about your loss wiggle? Really awful of them regardless, but especially if they know.

kaytees · 28/06/2018 12:06

Oh @Wiggle4 I'm so sorry you've had to go through that, people just don't think before opening their mouths! As others have said everyone is different and as long as you've heard heartbeat and midwife / consultant aren't worried, I'm sure everything is fine. Will keep everything g crossed the next 6 days go smoothly!

Wiggle4 · 28/06/2018 12:16

Thank you ladies!

@RedRobin7 thank you, I know you're right but the confidence can so easily be whipped out from underneath you! I haven't gained any weight since booking but at 12 weeks baby was perfect size and heart beat was fine!

@SpongeBobGrannyPants they did know! I know not everyone is thinking about it all the time like I am but really?! My body shape has changed for sure and by night time there's a bump lol

@kaytees thank you! Trying to be positive just a real struggle today!

Cakelaur · 28/06/2018 15:42

@Wiggle4 defo ignore fools!! They probably thought they were being nice saying you were 'petit' but obviously WRONG thing to say. Big hugs. I don't have too much of a bump. It's defo just a bit of podge!! Haha!
You'll get your bump in your own way and in your own time. And it will be perfect.

Quick question ..

I had my scan yday as I wrote on here anyway but we saw a heart beat which I am
So so thankful for.. the lady didn't measure or do any measurements as she said it's to early on to be correct and they like to do that nearer to 12 weeks when they have more to go on which I can understand but my question is if we saw a heart beat at what she said a yolk sac looked about 5ish weeks do you think I'm further on than she said or have any of you seen a HB around 5ish weeks??

I am so thankful don't get me wrong but jisy thinking could I be further on and she just guessed 5 weeks

Beck1988 · 28/06/2018 20:53

@alicejj8x I had first scan and they seen heartbeat they said I was 5 1/2 weeks according to sizes. Slightly further along when went to 12 week scan but alls good! If you've seen a heartbeat that's a really good sign! X

Primrose16 · 29/06/2018 14:17

@Wiggle4 oh my god! What is wrong with people! Flipping eck! Like everyone has said people are different shapes and will show different! I told a few people in my office today- I’m 15 weeks. They looked straight at my tummy and said wow- they were shocked as they thought I wasn’t showing at all. I am slim and I am getting a little tummy. But they then said oh you actually wasn’t big with your daughter! But my work colleague is 22 weeks and has just a massive beautiful (almost full
Term looking) bump. So we are all different! X

Alicejj8x · 29/06/2018 15:54

Can you go in hot baths, jacuzzis etc whist preg??
We're away this weekend in a little owls look out glamping retreat & they have a big hot bath you heat with your own fire etc is it ok to go in?

Patienceofatoddler · 29/06/2018 16:38

Oh @Wiggle4 I'm sorry that person made such a stupid comment and hope your feeling ok (Within reason).

Haven't commented much but enjoying reading all the progress, seeing the scan pictures and the bump photos!

I'm 11 weeks today and realised I've got to go to my 12 week scan alone (No childcare and family all over 100 miles away or live in Europe) - I felt ok about that but as it gets closer I'm getting more and more nervous. Sad

Wasn't this nervous with previous two pregnancies - Have to admit it doesn't feel real at all yet.

So glad it's Friday though - Hope everyone has nice chilled weekends ahead with this lovely weather Smile

Patienceofatoddler · 29/06/2018 16:40

@Alicejj8x it's not recommended I'm afraid.

Although with the Swedish Style wood burning hot tubs you have more control over temperature so maybe could keep it cooler so you could go in?

Or sit on side and dangle legs in. Smile
