Oh @peachesarenom that doesn't sound ideal. Although you may appreciate the help once bub gets here. I'm leaning towards having an initial meet and greet once baby arrives then having a two week visit ban. I hate the idea of having 100s of visitors when we're trying to find our feet.
Wow. 1:100000 that's mega low. As for the downs if they're not worried then I wouldn't be either. Have they mentioned extra testing?

peachesarenom · 18/06/2018 22:02

Yes Cakelaur apparently the cut off is 1 in 150, so it's ok. No further testing required.

MIL is a big bully so if she comes to stay I'll be off to my mums!

I loved your pic of the troll! Mine is the size of an egg! My belly has popped but as I had one anyway I just look fatter, no weight gain so far!

peachesarenom · 18/06/2018 22:08

Also, are you still taking folic acid?

hayleyfx · 18/06/2018 22:08

@Cakelaur thank you! I’m terrified, feeling so pessimistic and almost dreading going as I can’t handle anything other than good news 😓 fingers crossed bub is okay in there 🤞

Cakelaur · 18/06/2018 22:43

@peachesarenom nope I've given up. I throw everything up. So I managed to 12 weeks. Now I've just stopped. I was hoping to be able to start again around now. Was hoping the sickness would stop.

@hayleyfx bub will be perfect. What time are you?? 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

BabynameEdie · 19/06/2018 01:03

Hi everyone it's good to read all your updates and good luck @Primrose16 and @hayleyfx for tomorrow, I'm certain both your scans will go so well!

@Cakelaur thanks for checking in. I'm a bit of an emotional wreck at the moment and for the first time in years I can't sleep tonight and have such an important day ahead of me tomorrow! I'm really struggling with the tiredness and trying to keep on top of work. This weekend coming is our biggest annual event and it's usually 12-15 hour days from Thursday to Sunday. I'm so scared that I won't be able to cope, or that it will affect bean negatively. But just trying to take it one day at a time!

clairehr · 19/06/2018 04:45

Good luck for scans today 😊

Woke up for a wee and can't get back to sleep, boobs hurt yesterday, pretty much nothing today and it's freaking me out 😔

maxiflump1 · 19/06/2018 07:06

@Primrose16 and @hayleyfx good luck for your scans today. We are all rooting for you both!!

hayleyfx · 19/06/2018 07:51

@Cakelaur thanks hun. It’s 5pm today 😬

@BabynameEdie @maxiflump1 @clairehr thank you ladies! 🤞

Athers666 · 19/06/2018 08:36

Good luck for those with scans today. All the best x x x

Cakelaur · 19/06/2018 08:47

Oh no @BabynameEdie poor you. I know what massive events mean in kitchens. We had a similar thing a few weeks back. Luckily my days weren't quite as long as that but they were about 10-12 hours long. Take pace yourself and have loads of snacks and things to keep blood sugar up. Hopefully once it's all done you can put your feet up for a bit. Sending massive hugs. Hope the event goes smoothly.

@Primrose16 and @hayleyfx can't wait to hear all about your scans. Good luck 🤞🏻🤞🏻

@maxiflump1 how are you getting on babe?

@clairehr don't worry too much babe. Early on symptoms wax and wane. Do you still have cramps or stretching etc? The fact your up in the middle of the night is a good sign! Haha. Xx

Primrose16 · 19/06/2018 09:01

Good luck @hayleyfx mines at 4:10- we have all day to wait 😩

BabynameEdie · 19/06/2018 09:07

@Cakelaur thank you. Can't tell you how helpful the support is on here! Sorry for moaning! X

Primrose16 · 19/06/2018 09:07

@peachesarenom ah that’s difficult. If you don’t want her to stay then tell her. Some people would appreciate the support but I know I would have killed her if she stayed. Although my mil would have never offered. My mum was so helpful, she lives local so she used to walk down collect my little one in the pram and go for a proud Nanna walk for a hour to give me time to rest or get a wash etc. @cakelaur we did that. All family got to come round to either hospital (I was in for a day due to forceps delivery) or home then after that they left us to it until hubby went back to work.

Athers666 · 19/06/2018 09:18

Right here's the latest pic of my very uncomfortable tummy! Haha. Anyone else feel like they've swallowed a bowling ball?!

hayleyfx · 19/06/2018 09:20

@Primrose16 oh I know I already feel so sick just thinking about going! Thank you, I hope it goes perfectly for you too 🤞

Thanks everyone. Hopefully will be able to update with good news later on 🤞

Cakelaur · 19/06/2018 10:11

@Athers666 that's such a perfect little bump. I wish mine didn't look so flabby!

@Primrose16 the more I think about it the more I'm leaning towards wanting a couple of weeks to ourselves. We'll be having everyone round ours for Xmas day too. Unless we deliver on xmas day!! Haha.

I'm lucky in that both mum and mil live 5 mins away. So they'll both pop in but no need to stay.

OP posts:
maxiflump1 · 19/06/2018 10:13

I'm doing ok thank you @Cakelaur. A reassuring amount of nausea but not enough to be debilitating day to day so I'm taking that as a good sign! Was debating a reassurance scan but my mmc was at 9 weeks so don't know if it's better to just wait until 12 weeks. Otherwise I'll end up going for one every day like a crazy lady!! Wink

craftymum01 · 19/06/2018 10:18

6 weeks today! Don’t know why but it feels like a bit of a milestone. Not much sickness yet but so tired in the early afternoon. Hoping sickness shows up soon as I was sick with my ds and it was so reassuring. Though annoying at the time! Reassurance scan a week today. This time is dragging more than the 2ww!

Wiggle4 · 19/06/2018 10:27

@Athers666 that is such a cute bump. @Cakelaur I feel like mine just looks like I've put on flab too!

14 + 4 today and so worried. Scan is not until 4th July and I just don't know how I'm going to wait that long! No logical reason to worry but only physical symptoms are waking up tired every single day and feeling fat 😂 oh and one sore boob yesterday!

Good luck those with scans today! 🤞

clairehr · 19/06/2018 10:31

@Cakelaur I've got very mild cramping and a bit of nausea going on 😊

Athers666 · 19/06/2018 10:45

@wiggle4 lol at one sore boob! I have the same! One is just fine and the other one feels like it's being stapled from time to time, it's so weird!

Primrose16 · 19/06/2018 11:11

@Athers666 remind me how far you are?
I’m loosing track- maybe we should start a list with due dates and colour. I think I’m getting a tum but 2 of my close friends have told me that I’m looking like I have lost weight.
@cakelaur that’s perfect, honestly after the couple of weeks and when hubby goes back to work get one grandparent to take for a little pram push. A few times a week, it helped me so much.

kaytees · 19/06/2018 11:44

Ahhh @peachesarenom I feel you on the 'unwelcome visitors' thing.. it is SO hard but I echo cakes advice and just put your foot down! When I had DS my in laws (who are separated) had to come on different days... MIL took the only available comfy seat and then asked if I could make her a cup of tea (was 2 days postpartum after forceps delivery) and FIL stayed for 6 hours and asked what was for dinner! So... don't do what I did, be firm!

@Athers666 what a lovely little bump! I definitely just look chunkier at this point, but to be fair I hadn't lost all my baby weight from DS. I would quite like to look like you!

Not sure who asked about telling work etc but I have been telling clients etc this past week and everyone has been so lovely, don't know what I was so panicked about!

Athers666 · 19/06/2018 12:27

@primrose6 I'm 14 weeks.
