@cakelaur Thanks for that! Still haven't decided but may well get one x

Cakelaur · 15/06/2018 20:01

Ahhh @Beck1988 look at little bub hanging out in his (I'm guessing boy) crescent moon sac. Such a cute pic! Reminds me of this!! 😍

@Beck1988 if the scan was pushing and poking around on your belly it can cause spotting. Don't worry too much, and remember you saw your little one and all was perfect. I know the feeling of being on edge though. Xx

@clairehr I get this ALLLL the time. It's just baby growing and stretching. The milky cm can increase, it keeps things away from the cervix to stop infection, so totally normal. Mine increases and decreased day to day.

@clairehr I got this too, particularly weeks 4-7, seems to have eased off a little now. Great you've got a doc appt though and I hope they can reassure you too.

Guys I'm ridiculously tired, I'm so unproductive at work (it's my business so I can't really get away with that!) as just need to sit down all the time (am a chef so should be standing all the time!) am really pulling favours in from colleagues and leaning on them massively but I'm just so bloody exhausted! Anyone else getting this? Eating small and often is helping. 😴😴😴 just want to sleep!

hayleyfx · 15/06/2018 20:50

Huge congrats to everyone with scans recently, so lovely to see your pictures 😊

@BabynameEdie I’m absolutely knackered too!! Could literally sleep all day 🙈

Finding it so hard to eat now with the sickness. Managed a few plain boiled potatoes on a plate for dinner, just that and then a cupcake after. Felt better for 1-2 hours after eating and now I’m back in the bathroom dry heaving! The only thing that seems to be working are ice poles/lollies, I’ve gone through so many haha. Scan is on Tuesday at 5pm. Very nervous, just desperate to see a heartbeat 🤞

clairehr · 15/06/2018 21:04

@BabynameEdie @Cakelaur Thank you for replying, been worrying myself sick today, just because the pain is only along one side and not the other, need to give my head a wobble and stop sending anxiety to little bubs! Hope it is just ligaments etc stretching and making some room for baby to grow!

Does the discharge continue throughout pregnancy? I didn't have much in my last couple so this is all new!

BabynameEdie · 15/06/2018 21:16

@clairehr mine was also just on one side, and quite sharp pain, then sometimes sudden when I moved in a particular way (particularly when standing up from sitting on sofa or bed!) I then had a scan at 6.5weeks and all was well, so I think for me it really was ligaments etc stretching!

BabynameEdie · 15/06/2018 21:18

@hayleyfx ahh it's so hard being this tired isn't it? I really am a bit worried I won't cope with work! So sorry to hear our sickness is so bad, I find if I make myself eat toast first thing in the morning it does help, and then literally every two-three hours I seem to need something dry to eat. I don't like eating it by once I've had it the nausea reduces. Having said that mine doesn't sound as intense as yours (sorry, although am a little envious as am worried mine isn't too bad!)

clairehr · 15/06/2018 21:46

@BabynameEdie Oh, now that's put my mind at ease a little, sounds exactly like I'm experiencing! Thank you! It seems worse after I've been in one position too long too, then eases when adjusting. Docs on Monday to determine booking appointment for midwife, and a scan 2 weeks on Tuesday (7+3), so hopefully will see little blueberry bubs all cosy and happy.

Wiggle4 · 15/06/2018 21:46

Ah ladies I feel you with the tiredness! I'm sleeping so well but struggling so much to get out of bed and yawning all day. 14 weeks today but don't feel pregnant at all :-( I have a scan booked at 16 + 3 but I'm convincing myself all is not well with no reason at all. Don't know how to manage it!

SpongeBobGrannyPants · 16/06/2018 04:01

I don't know the answer @Wiggle4 but feeling exactly the same right now. I'm thinking this could be our reality right through to delivery though Thanks. Please don't answer if you don't want to but did you get an explanation for your loss?

Need to catch up on the rest of the thread properly, but some lovely scans I see! Lots of get well/positive wishes to those feeling poorly/anxious too.

No idea why that posted 3 times. Sorry guys!

....And I can't sleep tonight. Hope pregnancy insomnia isn't my next rubbish symptom!

Wiggle4 · 16/06/2018 07:51

@SpongeBobGrannyPants there was no reason why as such but my placenta never formed properly and became 'blocked' meaning nutrition couldn't get to or from my baby. We didn't find this out until 20 weeks which is what makes this period so difficult. How about you? But I think you're right, until I'm holding my baby I will never believe everything is ok

Beck1988 · 16/06/2018 07:56

Thanks @cakelaur it does seem to have eased off today. X

SpongeBobGrannyPants · 16/06/2018 18:39

We never got a definitive answer unfortunately. He had normal chromosomes and development. It may have been an issue with the cord though, and we were told it would have been a sudden event in that case and no increased risk of it happening it again. But, I can't help but worry. We found out at 20 weeks too.

Alicejj8x · 16/06/2018 18:41

So lovely to hear about everyone scans :)

I have mine booked in for the 27th early scan with fertility as they like to see you every 2 weeks for scans.

I think I'm around 4 weeks but you know when you just worry yourself with pure fear and I know I need to just relax.
Google hasn't been friendly lol and it just makes me wonder if everything's ok especially after 2 previous MC just worrying about symptoms and lack of etc etc! How did you all cope with relaxing and not letting your mind take control

leanne9312 · 16/06/2018 19:07

Has anyone had results from nuchal test yet if so what were your odds? X

Cakelaur · 16/06/2018 20:47

@leanne9312 I've attached mine, xx

@BabynameEdie it is hard just trying to function as normal when you feel so rough but keep telling myself it’ll all be worth it. Hope you’re feeling better soon!

I’ve been a bit worried today as I woke up this morning feeling awful, was sick a couple times, couldn’t eat. Then at about 2pm I managed lunch, had dinner a few hours later and now I’m lying in bed feeling normal! So if I’m not moaning about feeling sick then I’m worrying about it stopping. Stressing out over every little thing recently, making myself more scared for the scan on Tuesday 🤦‍♀️

leanne9312 · 17/06/2018 06:34

@Cakelaur I know mines low risk but he numbers are still a lot lower than yours I wonder why?

And thankyou Smile

Cakelaur · 17/06/2018 07:39

@leanne9312 you're only a couple of 1000 less on downs and your much better ratio on Patau's, I wouldn't worry at all. It done by age, a certain thing in the blood test and the thickness of the NT. my NT was 1.3mm and I'm 34 (Although don't tell anyone cos I'll swear down I'm 29 🙈) haha.

Eek @hayleyfx a scan on Tuesday!! How are are you then? So excited for you! Don't worry about sickness being on and off. It will probably kick in full force and you'll wish it was on and off again!! Haha
