TTC after the pill - how long did it take you?

Hi Lovely Ladies

Want to hear some different experiences of TTC after stopping the pill.

Been on the pill myself for 10 years and wondered if anyone has any stories to share! Stopped taking it 8 weeks ago now.

How long did it take you to fall pregnant? What were your symptoms and did you confuse any symptoms of the pill withdrawal for pregnancy symptoms?

Hi Mimi. I was on the pill for 17 years (combined pill then mini pill), then came off it for 18 months (did not ttc during this time), then went back on it for three months as I was getting married and didn't want AF during the wedding prep/honeymoon (mini pill - I had no periods with it), then came off it again last June and my cycle reestablished really quickly and I fell pregnant at the end of December. Came off pill Nov 15 after being on it since Sep 96, and running pill packs together (no bleeds at all) for seven years at the end. Had one long cycle (66 days), one normal one (with a two day period after) and then conceived the next cycle (aged 36), so didn't seem to affect me much.

Came off the pill in February, had my BFP in April.

I was on the pill for 10 years, we were very surprised to get pregnant that quickly!

I had mad pregnancy symptoms in March, but they turned out to be nothing. I guess that was due to my pill withdrawal. When I got my BFP I had hardly any symptoms, just felt warm and nauseous (but it was the beginning of a heatwave so I dismissed it!)

Oh, and my dates at my scan line up with 2 x 26 day cycles (the second being the start of this pregnancy)

I came off the pill in October (did not TTC that month as i was overseas) and fell pregnant November after doing the deed 3 times. I was on the pill for around 15 years.

I took cerelle for about 18 years non-stop. Stopped taking it 1st January, conceived cycle 5 (currently at 6 weeks). I've always had breast tenderness for about 7 days before AF, every cycle. Had no idea I was pregnant that month, was expecting another negative when I did an Internet cheapy test.

It took me three months after I came off the pill. Same with the implant, 3 months. Is your cycle back to normal after stopping? I didn't have any pregnancy symptoms until 8 weeks with both of mine, same this time round too, I was just testing every month until I got a positive. Good luck!
