Maternity pjs

Can anyone help?
I'm trying to find some maternity pjs that won't break the bank.
I'm 8 months and getting my hospital bag ready but bump has got so big my normal pjs dig in.
I tend to pass out when I get hot so need shorts ideally and dark colours.
Found a set in asda for £15 but they don't have my size.
All other ones I have found are either £50+ or trousers.

Can anyone suggest anywhere to look please?

What sizes are you looking for? As that will give people ideas of where to direct you.

I just got nighties a few sizes up from Primark. They have loads of shorts at the moment too

Kitcat159 · 06/06/2018 09:52

Size 12

Big nighties worked for me. Usually a size 12 but went up to 18 and plenty of room. Did the same ruth primark pjs.

I did get some proper maternity ones in mamas and papas sale. Think they were reduced to £18 from something ridiculous. Worth keeping an eye on their website for a sale.

I got pjs shorts from primark at £2.50 a pair in a new bit called "pyjama separates" they are really comfy and stretchy. And then I just bought vest tops at £1.30 for their too. I bought my tops a size bigger so I can still BF in them. Xx

deffo make a trip to primark and get some nighties or the little shorts and tops, so worth it! xx

I've been wearing a maternity vest top from new Look (about a fiver) and a pair of my husbands boxers to bed since it got hot. Not exactly a great look but very comfy 😂

Almostthere15 · 06/06/2018 12:27

If you want them for hospital the general advice is nighties rather than pjs in case you have a c sec.
I'd second Primark nighties in a huge size, they have some with buttons so you can feed as well

Bluebirdsky · 06/06/2018 12:36

I just got some from Mothercare, they have 20% off at the moment

Noloudnoises · 06/06/2018 12:46

I hear you OP.

I just bought these and they're fab, not maternity but big enough to be super comfortable under and over bump and no waistband digging in.

I'm size 14 with enormous 7 months bump. I bought XL but L would've been fine. I wear to bed with a maternity vest from gap.

I'm size 12 and my bump was huge. I had these in two colours. Not shorts unfortunately, but the bottoms still fit at 41 weeks and I love the tops for breastfeeding.

Marks and Spencer have got some maternity pj shorts for sale, I’ve just ordered some. £10

Kitcat159 · 08/06/2018 19:29

Thanks everyone!
I'm gonna check out primark in the morning and see what I can find.
Failing that, my super awesome mum has said she can add elastic panels to a couple of pairs of pjs for me if I find some I like so they will fit Grin

I’m really fussy about the cut of my maternity pyjamas, but I’ve had some lovely pairs from Next recently.

MeadowHay · 08/06/2018 19:54

I've got a nightie in a big size from Primark, and one from Peacocks too, I also have a pair of PJs I bought from Costco in a bigger size and a pair of maternity PJs from Boohoo.

gruber · 09/06/2018 17:25

I think I ordered some from vertbaudet for about £13, bought a Jojo Maman Bebe set in the sale, and made do with some bigger sizes of regular ones. Do you have a Matalan nearby? I find they often have cheap pjs to buy in a bigger size if you just want something for the next few weeks.
On the other side of the coin... now pregnant with no 2 and totally enjoying wearing the maternity pjs I did get! So it may be worth investing...

I got a button up night shirt from Primark , I'm usually a ten twelve, got an XL 20-22 I think I went too far, but it's never going to be too small! It's lovely and cool cotton too.

Chocolatecoffeeaddict · 10/06/2018 20:13

My comfiest maternity pjs were from La Redoute. Pricey but they were a present. The bottoms were so comfy with waist band that could go over the bump or rolled down.

NameChange30 · 10/06/2018 20:16

Another vote for Next, I got maternity PJs from Next for £20 reasonably early in my pregnancy and wore them most nights after that, they were so comfy that I didn’t like having to wash them Grin

Got some maternity/nursing PJs from JoJo as a very thoughtful gift just after the birth. Unfortunately the trousers were so long I was tripping over them (and I’m pretty tall) and the vest top didn’t have enough room in the cups, my huge postpartum boobs kept falling out!

Second the M&S maternity pj shorts (£10)

They’re v soft and comfy. I wear them with primark cotton button nightshirts a few sizes up.
