Just wondering when i will be given my maternity notes. I have my first scan on Friday and these where not mentioned at my appointment. Was given a ready steady baby pack (i am on Scotland).

Also it doesn't say if i need to have a full bladder for the scan.

Already anxious as it is but trying to stay positive.

Because of this new system that's just been introduced you only get given a few pieces of paper with a your details on for your notes now so the hospital will have everything on their system to look at. Just explain when you go & they'll help you. Enjoy seeing your little one, it's amazing! x

Someone said on another thread that badgers have stolen all of the handheld notes in Scotland or something.

Grin

I'm only semi joking. Haven't they moved to online notes in Scotland and the computer system is called Badger, or did I dream that?

You'll need a fairly full bladder, but you don't need to be bursting for the loo or anything like that. Hope it goes well 🙂

Thanks. I noticed I do have print outs with my info on so will maybe take that with me. I wish it would just hurry up to Friday already

This is my first pregnancy so no idea if anything has changed as never been in this position. Other than an early miscarriage last year at 7 weeks last year. My sister had my niece 9 years ago and mentioned the notes to me which got me worried.

These print outs are your notes huni. Take them with you & you'll gather other bits & pieces ie address labels etc as you attend further appointments.

That makes sense my sister's where in a enclosed green book but mines as just pieces of discoloured paper.

Thanks for your help

Yeah it's just the difference with the new system. I was a bit lost when I got them as it was so different to my 1st. Don't be afraid to ask questions throughout your pregnancy, no matter how silly you think they may be. The midwives are lovely & they've heard it all before. You're welcome, hope all goes well for you x
