Placental lakes at 36 week scan?

Hello. I had a late term scan, everything was okay except during scan said I had a few placental lakes and the baby was engaged and in the pelvis (low down squashing my bladder). She commented that I may not go full to due date given his position and the lakes.
Anyone else heard of this? I had a 28 week and a 20week scan and there were no lakes present then.

Is it your first baby? I think it's quite common for a placenta to have lakes by the third trimester and not something that is a cause for any concern.
It's also quite common for the head to be engaged by 36 weeks, especially if it's your first baby so although she may well be right about you going into labour before your due date based on those things alone it's also possible that you won't.
