What did your braxton hicks feel like?
Was it like period cramps?

Mine are exactly like period cramps, not overly painful but definitely noticeable.

SamanthaH92 · 05/06/2018 18:26

Thank you. Im 33 weeks today and have been getting painful (but not overly painful) period cramps on and off for half an hour. I'd say about 4. Its going in to my legs. Seem to have eased now I've laid down. Never had them before x

I have them lots and I’m 30 weeks. Can be uncomfortable but shouldn’t last long maybe 30 seconds or so. As long as they come and go and don’t increase with frequency or pain you should be fine. Another lovely pregnancy experience Grin

@Emsdods i never had them first time round and had a planned c section so i am clueless lol. Now getting just the pains in my thighs i was getting with the cramps x

Oh bless you! I had them with all three of mine! Are you having VBAC? X

SamanthaH92 · 05/06/2018 20:40

@Emsdods no ment be having another planned c section. I am so worried about going in to labour before then. Pains have eased off after a hot shower but my spd has got a lot worse. Even sitting is hurting so i wonder if she has moved down?

@samanthaH92 oh you have spd too, me as well!! I find if baby moves down or across my hips it presses more on my nerves which results in shooting leg pains.
I have no experience of c sections but I have read that Braxton Hicks start at a couple months but don’t really get felt until much later and this seems to be my experience. Sounds like we are in very similar positions lol. X

SamanthaH92 · 05/06/2018 21:06

@Emsdods when are you due? Yes spd is so much worse now. It seems to have come on quite fast. Light period pains have now returned so I'm thinking paracetomol and bed for me. Its strange how different this pregnancy is to first DD x

I’m just over 30 weeks now due on August 12th. I hope you feel better soon! Let me know how it goes x

SamanthaH92 · 06/06/2018 19:02

They are much worse tonight. Started with period cramps now my thighs are hurting. Almost like i am feeling them in my thighs. Left one is the worst. Taken paracetomol, upped water intake. Paracetomol hasn't done much though xx

SamanthaH92 · 09/06/2018 11:40

I had bh all the time from20 weeks with my second. No pain, but my abdomen went really rigid.
I didn’t have pain till labour started.
Apart from spd.

EmsDods · 09/06/2018 18:44

Sounds like she’s on a nerve as well in your hip maybe giving you those spd pains as well! It’s not nice is it. Glad you’re coping well though. Not too long left Smile
