Feeling lousy today

I'm 6+5 today, started throwing up last night at around 11.30pm, slept awfully, woke at 9.30 to throw up for another hour, called in sick to work and have crashed on the sofa with the duvet and the cat. I feel awful. Needed to vent, and seeing if anyone else out there is feeling it today too!

This was me yesterday! I’m 7 weeks, have a streaming cold and spent yesterday with my head in the toilet. Still got the horrible cold today but no vomit, just been ravenous all day.

I'm 7w 5d and my hay fever is horrendous.

I'm so blocked up I can't breath through my nose anymore- I want to curl up and cry.

Tonight il be curling up with hot water / mental to try unblock myself.

Hope your both feeling better soon x

Hope everyone feels better soon! Not feeling so awful today, no feeling sick but still very lightheaded. 6 weeks and not actually vomited yet. Don't know if that's a good thing or if I should be worried.

InDreamland · 05/06/2018 15:34

Hayfever sucks. Was terrible over the weekend. Had so many people asking me if I'd taken anything for it to which I replied "everything I'm allowed to take" which means nothing .........noone knows I'm preggers (apart from hubby and gym trainers).

sirmione16 · 05/06/2018 15:36

@InDreamland I was advised I was okay to take Benadryl and it works well, not perfect but well. But some aren't suitable when pregnant

@InDreamland exactly!

I usually take stuff which is 11x the strength of over the counter antihistermines. But I'm using beconase nasal spray morning and night but it doesn't touch it.

I'm at risk of a sinus infection as I'm just so blocked up.

People are all full of tips / advice of medication which works for them Blush

I know later in pregnancy you can use antihistamines (I took them throughout my 2nd and 3rd trimester previously to help ease Cholestasis itching) but not this early obviously Sad

InDreamland · 05/06/2018 15:49

Thanks both! I really need to get onto my GP to ask what i can take. Normally take Benadryl liquid capsules (cetirizine) or loratadine suspension (only things with no lactose in ........i have an allergy) and also a nasal spray. Everything says not to take when pregnant grrrr.

Patienceofatoddler · 05/06/2018 16:19

@InDreamland Loratadine was what I had previously from trimester 2 onwards.

Def speak to your GP - all day not suitable as there's no studies on pregnant women with them (unethical) but some are known safer than others and it's all about weighing up pros / cons.

InDreamland · 05/06/2018 16:30

@Patienceofatoddler thanks, I will call if I can get some private space at work. Bit awkward in open plan office where there is nowhere to go for a private conversation. I wouldn't want to take anything that may harm baby.

Patienceofatoddler · 05/06/2018 16:32

Haha understand that one to - We are an open plan office and it's so hard to find a quiet corner where no one is there.

Hope your feeling better soon x x
