Do I need to call midwife

I'm 24+2 and for the last 15 minutes I've been having pains. The only way to describe it is the sort of pains that I had when I was induced with my last baby. It's all across the bottom but sort of like crampy period type pains. They come in waves every 30 seconds lasting 15-20 seconds. Oh and mild backache too.

Should I just wait it out for a bit or call my midwife.

ps. This is baby #3

Just phone them! They won't care & you can be reassured by the only person qualified to do it. Hope you & baby are ok OP.

Yes, call your midwife. She can dip your urine as you might have a UTI making you niggly.

It's your third child so if you think it's something to be concerned about it's unlikely they will fob you off and will probably want you in to check you over. In your situation though if it's only been happening for 15 mins so far I would probably see how things go over the next few hours before ringing.

I'm pregnant with DC2 I had what felt exactly like the early contractions I had with DC1 at 36 weeks over a 24 hour period. Then they just disappeared and I'm still sat here at 39 weeks with no sign of the baby arriving. So it was probably just trapped wind Grin.
