33 weeks and severe lower back pain

I'm currently 33 weeks and since 30 weeks have had lower back pain which has progressed from uncomfortable to at times downright painful. My midwife thinks it is PGP and has referred me to a physio but has basically said I will be waiting a long time for the appointment. I'm finding work a struggle but even at home I just can't get comfortable and am feeling quite sorry for myself.

Whinge over! I just wondered if anyone had had any luck with physio / osteopath / chiropractor for a similar issue? Any recommendations in the Essex area would be particularly appreciated. Any other suggestions also welcome! I am currently having to take paracetamol most days just to manage work and I feel so guilty about it, so I'm open to any alternatives.

No suggestions on physio / osteopath but my back pain was eased by antenatal yoga - look up pose of a child / polar bear. They're the sort of poses to use in labour but it meant baby was between you and the floor so took the pressure off your back. It helped my sciatica and helped shift a transverse baby because it gave her more space, and just might help you whilst you wait for an appointment.

Have you checked how much paracetamol you can have? I hadn't realised until I happened to ask a SHO at a hospital clinic but there are restrictions on how large a dose you can take based on your weight.
