Nursery in corner of our bedroom?

Has anyone here ever made a corner of their bedroom into a nursery almost, as in painting just that corner in nursery colours with animals on the wall etc. I read the idea online and thought it seemed cool since i won't have a spare room for baby until it is maybe 6 months old. Just after some ideas :)

Um, sure, if you like, but I can't quite see the point? Baby will only be in there for 6 months and for the first 3 at least won't be very interested in their surroundings. You on the other hand will either have to redecorate immediately or have a weirdly juvenile bedroom for years.

Save your money and energy and decorate their actual room down the line, if you ask me.

I was thinking of doing something similar. If you want to avoid actually painting, you could get some nice large pictures and bunting which could then be easily transferred into the actual nursery.

I love the idea of doing that with a travel theme...pictures of hot air balloons, animal map of the world etc

Pinterest might be a good site for ideas 🙂

i wouldn't personally put so much effort into it as they are in the room for only up to 6 months, so what like just a nice picture/their name, a canopy thingy with some fairy lights? stuff thats easy to remove but still cute xx

Sounds like a total waste of time. No six month old cares what colour the bloody wall is!

Just paint their room whatever you want it when it's ready.

We did, ours were in our room for longer than 6 months. I don't see it as any different to decorating a nursery.
We used stickers and pictures in frames.

Ours were in our room for longer than 6 months and we didn’t do anything special, must admit I don’t really see the point. It’s just somewhere for them to sleep.

We did this, as we only had 1 bedroom. But we used wall stickers to make a corner for DD cot. We just wanted her to have her own area,

Ours were both in with us for 6 months. This never even occurred to me but I did hang a couple of toys on the cot!

We didn't and I wouldn't paint it but you can get some nice (removable) wall stickers on Amazon if you want to make it look more nursery like.

Babies don't care what colour baby grow etc they're in either but you still wanna put them in nice ones! I think this is a lovely idea. We're gonna get a bedside crib so wouldn't be as easy for me to do but has given me something to think about! Xx
