12 week scan anxiety

In May last year at the 12 week scan, we found out that our little boy had some serious abnormalities that turned out to be caused by Edwards Syndrome and we decided to end the pregnancy.

I’m pregnant again and have the 12 week scan on Wednesday and I feel like i’m losing the plot. I knew i’d Feel anxious but i’m Now not sleeping because I keep having a recurring nightmare where the scanner tells me my baby has no head. My husband isn’t sleeping because his anxiety means he keeps having to go check on our eldest in case he’s stopped breathing in the night.

Any tips on how to make it through the next couple of days?

I have my 12 week scan tomorrow and Im scared too. I had a miscarriage last year and also an ectopic prior to having my son so I completely understand how it feels to be so worried about this. Ive been trying to distract myself with just about anything to get each day over with till the scan date. Its been a long few weeks!! I don't have any real advice other than I share your worries and hope you feel better after seeing the scan.

Just thought i’d Let you know that it was fine, the baby seems like to be ok and will hopefully sleep tonight.
